This place is the best for music in all of Seattle.. I've seen Beck at Benaroya, but nothing compared to Jose Gonzalez and Jake Shimabukura at the Triple Door. It's too bad someone like Neil Young doesn't do a show at a place like this.
place to plae. WOW, this place is nice.... very elegant in a way... nice drinks... one classical yet modern stuffs.. hehehe
Good music, bad service. I sometimes come here to listen to music on a slow weekend - it's free, it's not too bad, and there's a good amount of places to sit. The main reason I'm giving this place 3 stars instead of more is the service. Almost every single time I've been here, I have been purposely ignored by bartending staff too busy to take my order. The last time I went, the girl who cleans dishes came by 3 times to apologize and assure me she asked the bartender to pass by. Total wait time for a drink: 25 minutes.…
Piss-Poor Service.
I used to like going to this place, though the service was never friendly or quick. The happy hour prices are great , the food is pretty good and I like the live music. However, I am never going back
to The Triple Door.
I was part of a group of 8 that met at the Triple Door last Saturday night at around 730PM, hardly prime bar time on a Saturday. The place wasn't too crowded and there were 5 bartenders behind the bar. However, when we ordered our drinks, only 6 of them came. No big deal, the waitress said that they'd be right out. We waited 10 minutes. Couldn't find our waitress (or any waitress). Waited 10 more mintues. My boyfriend got mad and went up to the bar to ask (nicely!) for our drinks. The bartender (not making drinks but leaning on the counter) said that the drinks would be right out. Waited 10 MORE minutes. We finally flagged down our clueless waitress. When we told her that we were still waiting for two drinks, she said, "Oh, I think the paper is out back there." NO "I'm sorry." No panicked, "Oh no, I care about my tip and I should make sure these people get their drinks right away" reaction. I asked her what that had to do with it and she said that they probably didn't get her electronic order because they were out of paper. I'm sorry honey, but obviously they did get the order because 6 of the drinks came. She never apologized. We finally got the drinks 10 MORE minutes later (a total of 40 mins late!), when everyone else was done. To make matters worse, this happened 2 MORE times that night- a drink was always missing and the careless, vapid waitress and lazy bartenders never seemed to mind.
My friends, family and I have all worked in the service industry for years and I know the difference between service where 'things go wrong' and service where the servers do not give 2 cents. This was the latter and I am not sorry to say that we did not give them 2 cents either. I have never been treated so negligently and I'm still peeved about it!…
Always great!.
I consistantly bring all my out of towner guest into The Triple Door and they always LOVE it ! I've never had a bad experience with the waitstaff, they are always attentive and around when you need
something.
Try the 7 flavored beef or the seafood noodle dish - the best !…
