This has got to be the best hang out in Queen Anne. I have to admit at first I did not know if it was a bistro or bar. However, after eating the food it became clear it is truly one of the best REAL restaurants I have been too in a long time. Places like this remind me of all that's edgy and smart about New York City. The food is fabulous and the atmosphere is cool with the Jimi Hendrix gold records on the wall. In addition to being one of the few places I have been where people are not pretentious, I like it because it's close to my home, have great music, strong drinks, $2.99 happy hour and great videos. I have nothing against Pesos down the street from them or other places like that, but I am done sacrificing my stomach and ear drums because they were the only game in my neighborhood. I am 34 and moved here 8 years ago from New York and have had the hardest time trying to find where other 25 and over hang out until Ascada. I hope they make it in QA with their unique concept; Seattle needs a place like this.

Pros: Food, atmosphere live music - real people

Cons: Parking - No late night happy hour

I loved Ascada when it was in Bellevue. Haven't actually tried it since it moved to lower Queen Anne. But just had to write that tonight, while I was parked on the street a block away, an Ascada flier was GLUED to my windshield. I really should have them detail my friggin' car, but I can tell you that any venue of any kind that literally sticks fliers to your windshield instead of just putting them under the wiper, is no place I will EVER visit. It'd be OK with me if they go under....
