The Scene
Those expecting walls cluttered with sports memorabilia and beer paraphernalia are in for a huge surprise when they enter this outpost of Fox's burgeoning chain of 21st century sports bars. Sparse decoration, stylish couches and soft lighting give the space a European vibe, though the 32 flat-screen plasma TVs all tuned to football will quickly alleviate any confusion. Predictably, the central downtown location lures mainly shoppers and tourists.

The Draw
Despite the understated decor, things can get raucous here during a big game, making it an attractive gathering spot for serious sports fans. Less-sporting types are made to feel welcome too; one-third of the space is a traditional (TV-free) dining room with a full menu. The food succeeds--particularly the starters and selections from the wood-fired grill--in surpassing the standards of typical bar fare.

Use to love this place....but learning from what goes on behind the scenes(corporate)....will do my best to try to promote this place as should go where it belong's. I feel bad for the people that work there..and should probably look for somewhere else to work. It had potentiel, but when you need to cut costs every which way, you are only going to lose. It is sorta sad. Can you imagine if the server's will need to clean the toilets, and serve you food? Those are the things I am talking about. Yes, the economy is bad, but this is beyond. Ask to see the owner....I am sure management haven't seen him either.

- Terrible Reception: My husband, friend, and I went to FoxSport to celebrate my husband's birthday and watch Gonzaga and St. Mary's. After traffic and parking we arrived a little late for the game (the game started at 5:00pm and we arrived at 5:10pm). The receptionist informed us there was a 10 dollar cover charge to sit in the bar because a UFC fight would be starting at 7:00pm. The cover charge started at 5:00pm. We were 10 minutes late, knew nothing of said UFC fight, and the receptionist refused to let us come into the bar area to watch the game (BTW...the bar was nearly EMPTY). Out secondary option was to sit in the dining area. We decided to go with this option. The dining area had (precisely, because we counted) 5 tables open; HOWEVER, it took them 30 minutes to seat us. - RUDE Management: I asked to see a manager to discuss our experience. The manager was non-sympathetic and curt. He stressed how much UFC fights meant to the bar and grill and how a cover charge was needed. He did not address why my group and I were seated after such a long period even though 5 tables were open in the dining hall. He did not address why my group and I could not wait in the bar area while our table was being prepared. He did not address why our waitress took so long to take our orders. - FOR COLLEGE SPORTS FANS: Please do not let the same experience ruin YOUR college game. I advise staying at home, where you can get a better view of the game or going somewhere like SpitFire where the servers are friendly, accommodating, and willing to take special orders for picky eaters. SpitFire has more TV's in their eating area and an all-over better game viewing experience. - UFC Fans: Why are you paying a 10 dollar cover to watch a game at the grill? You will all surely pay the grill back in your drinks and food that you order during the game

First off the service was good. We went on a Tuesday afternoon and there were only a few other customers. I ordered the ribs, the menu say they "fall off the bone". Well, NOT THIS TIME!!!!!!!!. I had to cut the meat off the bone with my knife. So, for 19 smackers the ribs were very disappointing. They were no where near what was described on the menu. My wife ordered the Rueben and it was a bit soggy. The fries with both of our meal were spot on, though. The waiter lost interest in us after we were served. The place has a decent selection of (expensive)beer probably due to the downtown local.
