My second favorite Indian buffet in the U-district is still decidedly a good value and very tasty indeed. Try one of everything!
Amazing Indian Food!. My best friend and I eat here at least a couple of times a month. We have had many items on the menu, but the best is definitely the chicken mango curry. The garlic naan is the best in the U-District and all of the appetizers are delicious. On a cold day, ORDER THE CHAI. It's out of this world. But the greatest part about Jewel of India is the service. The owners are so friendly and often bring you free food...usually rice pudding. Give this place a chance!
great indian buffet in the u district. This is my favorite place for Indian buffet when I am in the city. I often try to find a reason to be in the u district whenever I can make it there for the all you can eat buffet. I feel so good when I am full. It warms me up from the inside out on those cold and rainy days, it is like sunshine for the soul! since I live in Everett, it is a long drive to get there, but it is soooo worth every penny. I have never been disappointed and the service is great! This is a great place to bring your friends for lunch if you are buying. The prices are more then fair for what you get! share the love! kurt
Tasty and unexpectedly nice experience.
I've eaten A LOT of Indian food.
Jewel of India was a pleasant surprise- and their veggie pakora and butter chicken (my favorite) were fantastic. The guy who owns the place (cooks, too) was personable, friendly and came out to make sure I enjoyed my meal. So all in all, I had a very good experience there.
A truly divine experience: delicious food, great service, and a great buffet in the afternoon..
If you like Indian, then definitely check this place out. A warm and friendly family owns the place, which is always great, and the atmosphere is nice. Additionally, and most importantly, the food does not disappoint. The wide range of dishes and large portion sizes aside, the quality of ingredients and the taste is on point. The chicken is particularly succulent; I don't know how they manage to get it so perfectly juicy, but it's delicious. For the vegetarians (I've recently become one myself), there's plenty of delicious options as well--vegetable korma is my dish of choice at the moment. Overall, it's great valve for the price (which will run you about 10 dollars or so for a nice dinner, less for lunch/buffet), so I highly recommend it.
I'm a big fan of Indian food, and I have been to plenty of restaurants in the Seattle area, but Jewel remains my number one.
Cant even get over this place, man. I love Jewel of India. Seriously. Great food and awesome family friendly service. The fact that they deliver is really handy too. Really authentic foods and the Garlic Naan has a generous amount of garlic. Service is always really friendly and their kids are really nice too. Chicken Tikka Masala is fantastic. Always have a friendly, private atmosphere with delicious, spicy dishes. Also, unlike many other indian restaurants, the level of spiciness at which you order your food is always consistent. Did I mention they deliver?
AMAZING food great lunch buffet. The great indian cuisine,a number of years ago the fod is rich and authentic tasting the rigt portion searved for dinner entrees.Appetizers somasa always tasty wehave eatenat the lunch buffet a number of times and it is always fresh and delicious .There is a good varity, butthey keep bsome staples. My favorites here are chicken tikka masala and mater paneer and fresh nan it also serves with buffet and staff is very friendly.
Best Indian Food. Went to this place in the U-district and it was great. It had friendly and speedy service. The food was delicious. The Naan bread particularly warm and tasty. Also, they offer free delivery and the food is always warm when it arrives (i love that :D)
Surprising buffet, great samosas.
So, I go into this simple Indian place in the UDistrict for lunch- I get seated right away, offered the menu or the all you can eat buffet.
Of course, I head for the buffet! Frankly, I was surprised- the food was great, and those samosa things were delicious! It's about as plain as plain can be as far as decor, but the food more than makes up for it!
Highly recommended!
Tasty curries, Fresh Naans. Awesome curries. We had the Veggie Vindaloo and the Malai Kofta. The naans (Onion Kulcha, Garlic Naan) was very fresh and yummy! Definitely recommend this place. The Gulab Jamun was a little dry though. (Stale?)
Based On Other Reviews of this Eatery.
Based on other reviews of this eatery, I went there and was very disappointed.
I expected a buffet with many choices, and there was not much choice.
The quality of the food was average to less than average.
