What People Are Saying About The Chapel

The Scene – Just like at the funeral home it replaced, dignity is at a premium at Chapel. Avoiding any trace of goth schlock, this stately nightclub opts for sleek European furnishings and soft lighting. Fun details abound: From the huge white-stone bar to the regal ornithological wallpaper upstairs and the coolest bathroom sinks in Seattle. Mirrored walls and high ceilings create an impression of spaciousness, but the main room is cozy. Those seeking more intimacy should head to the balcony, which offers a grand view of the bustle below. – – The Draw – Young, smartly…
Violent Staff

A friend and I stopped in for a drink Sunday 10/25/09. I had a beer and my friend had a cocktail. The cocktail was quite good and my friend ordered a second one but from a different bartender. The second bartender a bit rude, dismissive and the drink was bitter and undrinkable. When the first bartender came around we explained the situation. He walked over to the second bartender and while looking directly at me told him that I had complained. The two bartenders, young, muscled guys in Affliction tshirts, came over to us and got very hostile and threw the check at us. They made gestures like they wanted to fight. It was the most ridiculous treatment I have ever experience at any place of business. I don't know if these bartenders were drunk or high or just didn't appreciate customers interrupting their conversation with their friends at the end of the bar, but if you go Chapel, you may be threaten by the staff or worse.
- Cons: Threatened by the staff
Amazing Staff, Drinks, Music and Performance

I have been going to The Chapel for years and have always enjoyed the space. It seems as though it is transitioning now and just getting better. The staff is friendly and fast, the music is better everytime I stop in and fire performers every Friday night? AMAZING. I would recommend this bar to anyone!
- Pros: Friendly Staff and great music
- Cons: none
Love it

I love the atmosphere - white seating, high ceiling and bartop. I'm not a big fan of most of the menu drinks, but some are really good. The pineapple is just pineapple infused vodka and I recommend. Be nice to the bartenders and they will be nice to you. The cheese plate is excellent as well.
