Seattle brides go elsewhere!
by ems77
Looking back on my wedding, I'm so upset that I spent my time and did business with the Princess Bride Bridal Shop. With my friends who are getting married, the first thing I tell them is to stay far away.
I can't begin to describe the horrible customer service and unresponsiveness, especially from the owner Kathy. Multiple things went wrong -- here are just a couple. My veil came in late and damaged. The wait time for it to be made was far longer they told me it would be (by a couple months) and there was not enough time to sew a new one, so I had a veil with holes in it for my wedding. Another time when I was in picking up my dress, I had a man (presumably an employee's husband) trying to get my to purchase earrings, necklaces, shoes and pretty much everything possible. They are horribly pushy and don't know how to take "no" for an answer.
The only thing I did right was go elsewhere for my dress alterations. The Princess Bride quoted me at $400 and I paid $65 elsewhere. WAY overpriced.
The best thing that a bride could ask for is less stress during wedding planning. The Princess Bride adds more stress to the planning process and I would suggest to anyone they find another shop! I was very please with LaBelle Elaine's in downtown Seattle where I purchased my bridesmaid dresses.
- Pros: Nothing
- Cons: Everything -- customer service, quality of product...
NOT THE PLACE TO GO FOR YOUR WEDDING!
by Uhap7
DO NOT, REPEAT DO NOT GO HERE...BEWARE OF FAKE REVIEWS POSTED BY OWNER! Terrible establishment for what is supposed to be the happiest time of your life, they ruined SEVERAL opportunites of which should have been positive but instead were FAR FROM! From the get, I did not appreciate the way I was treated by their bridal consultant but I loved the dress and the price was good. Do not be mistaken by thier aggressive marketing tactics to be be viewed as "Great", they are all about SELF PROMOTION and its tiring. I wish I would have read some reviews before purchasing in the first place...WORD TO THE WISE, stay away. I was verbally attacked and had to suffer through a salesperson who would take NO responsibility for the errors in which transpired from the dress order.
- Pros: Zero
- Cons: Just about everything
Please do NOT go here

Please do not give these very rude people any business. They over charge you like crazy.
They might have dress that you like but alterations lady is so BAD. She is the meanest lady. She says she has 40 years of experience but she needs to learn some business manner. So RUDE. She was trying to charge $400 for dress alteration when I bought the dress for $900 !!
Brides, there's better places than here. don't ruin your wedding planning by going to this place.
I would want to give negative rating if possible.
Plus, I heard the owner (kathy) writes fake positive reviews
