In Short – Dim and spacious, the décor feels expensive and more than a little decadent--dark wood pillars set off the tiny iridescent tiles that cover the bar and accent the walls. The mix of classic Italian side dishes and aged Angus steaks offers a range of indulgent dishes, including canneloni with veal, fillet mignon with gorgonzola sauce, pasta puttanesca and grilled rabbit. A lengthy wine list is heavy on Italian wines.

So yummy!!!

by tatum9999

This place is great!! I went in for happy hour and ended up staying for dinner. The happy hour specials are excellent (the pesto prawn thing is to die for!) I decided to get the lobster mac and cheese for dinner. I don't know if the other poster just went in on a bad day or what, but I had lots of perfectly cooked lobster and the sauce was so flavorful and simple(there were little legs on the plate as well, but I'm sure they were for decoration) Will definatly be going back...I think I may be addicted to that mac and cheese.....

  • Pros: great happy hour, delicious food
  • Cons: addictive food!!

Not a very impressive lunch

by keith_sink

I met with a group in their closed dining room. The facility was very nice and you could close the doors to completely isolate your group. Much better setup than the Met down the street.

The food was not that impressive. I had the Lobster Mac and Cheese. The lobster consisted of 4 tiny pieces of chewey lobster with spare legs aranged around the plate. The sauce seemed like nothing more than a standard alfredo sauce. The sauce had all settled to the bottom of the plate because it had been apprently under a heat lamp for some time. The salad on the other hand was very good. I had the chopped salad and I really liked the slightly sweet and sour dressing.

One of my colleagues had the salmon raviolli. She says the raviolli was tough and the salmon inside was very dry. Also her ceasar didn't have enough dressing to her liking.

Dessert was very good. I had the chocolate brownie with chocolate Gilato. Very good.

The service was top notch. But for some reason I only got a half a glass of beer when the server poured it from the bottle.

I'll probably try them for dinner some night, but never again for lunch.

  • Pros: Great ambiance.
  • Cons: Food comes out dry with groups.

Best Service

by foodsavy

A friend and I decided to go out to dinner at troiani after having an enjoyable dinner at El Gaucho a couple of weeks before. Upon entering we were overwhelmed with how busy the bar area was, but were sat at tables towards the back away from the bar. Our server was quickly there to greet us and upon us mentioning the busyness oof the bar he informed that it would all phase out in about 15 minutes since it was almost 6 o'clock. We decided to start with an order of prawns and a couple cocktails, the server upon our order could sense our lack of firm decisive conviction suggested a couple different cocktails that we might like to try and we gladly excepted, willing to try new things. The drinks arrived with my friend enjoying a wonderful glass of sangria and for myself I recieved a margarita that had been shaken with egg whites, which gave it a very silky texture. The prawns where delicious with the best pesto sauce I have ever had. From that point on we let our server take over, we told him we were sold and allowed him to pick our remaining courses. He not only picked amazing food choices but also brought over half glasses of wine to pair with each course, his knowledge of not only the food menu but also the wine list was second to none and made our meal perfect with no thought required on our part.

  • Pros: Beautiful space with fantastic food and very energetic friendly service staff.
  • Cons: Loud happy hour recomend going after 6 o'clock
