best place for steaks----don't tell everyone!. the service is very good here and the steaks are even better. there is great atmosphere and it is relaxed as well. the bartenders are friendly and coo and the bar is a good place to sit while you wait for a table. i have been three times and always had great food. even if they say the wait will be an hour or 45 minutes....i am usually seated in half that time or less. they do a great job here! i can't wait to go back!
Delicious Steak. My boyfriend and I went to Jaks Grill for his birthday and loved every minute of it. We were promptly seated (it was a tuesday). Our waitress was on top of everything, and our meals came out so fast. Our meals were to die for good! It is defenitely the place for anyone who wants a romantic night out with fantastic steak!!
Best top sirloin I've ever had!. There isn't a whole lot to say about Jak's. We were served by a "new guy" (it was his last day of training! Congrats!) who was quite possibly one of the best servers I've ever had the pleasure of being served by! He was prompt with drinks, very cordial, and he had a great attitude. The salads were served on nice chilled plates, and the bread was very warm and tasty. When our food came, I was excited at the size of my steak. (14oz top sirloin). I finished all of my food on my plate, the garlic mashed potatoes were amazing, and ordered dessert as well. This is one of my favorite restaurants, now, and I would recommend it to anyone who loves steak.
Great steaks, friendly service and reasonable prices keep the locals coming back..
In Short
The aroma of grilled meat from the open kitchen tantalizes the waiting crowd that spills onto the sidewalk. Once inside, low lighting illuminates the mahogany furnishings, creating an atmosphere of relaxed sophistication. The menu has a straightforward selection of steaks, pork, chicken and fish--unlike most steak joints in town, the salad, veggies and potato are included in the price of each dinner. Appetizers are nonexistent; the butter-kissed Delmonico or porterhouse are indulgent entrees.
Good steak, great prices. Great steaks and a lot of food for the price. Only downside is they don't take reservations - and they are usually packed so you'll be waiting a while on weekends. You can bring your own bottle of wine for a $15 cork fee.
