Taqueria GuaymasView More

Authentic, Cheap Eats. I came from a spot that had a taqueria on every corner and consider myself both knowledgeable and discerning when it comes to Mexican Food. Guaymas is the one cheap taqueria I've found that fills that void. The staff is nice, and as the editor mentioned, fresh from a Latin American country - but they make excellent guacamole, chile verde, and hot salsas, which is basically the bottom line credentials that I judge a good taqueria on. It has some nice outdoor seating, and the portions are huge (another must for a cheap taqueria). It's the kind of place that you don't need to order the guacamole app. to go with your huge burrito, because you will waddle out of the place feeling a little disgusting from over-eating, nuff said.
Mexican fare served in a simple, cheery restaurant..
In Short
Since most of the staff in this sunny taqueria speaks little English, any español at all will help when ordering. Meats--including cabeza (beef cheeks), slow-cooked carnitas (pork) and lengua (tongue)--are marinated in chili-infused sauces. The menu is long, offering everything from flautas to whole fried fish. The tacos are two grilled corn tortillas, filled with fish, meats or veggies and topped with homemade pico de gallo and fresh salsa.
