tepid and tiny espresso. Ordered a double espresso and it came out tepid, nearly cool, and was the size of a thimble.

Never again.

They obviously have spent too much time on decor and not enough on training their baristas on how to extract a HOT espresso. And what's with the sign indicating that all of their drinks are doubles? If that thimble-sized thing was a double, what is a single--one drop from an eyedropper?

And don't go all Starbucks on me, because I HATE Starbucks. I KNOW a good high-quality espresso when I get one, and this one was NOT it.

Wonderful customer service. This is in regards to the University location with Ten Pachi next door. I think it's all owned by the same person, anyway. I've been in a few times for coffee and a snack, to unwind or get some work done. One day a different barista was behind the counter and I ordered just a coffee. When I went to whip out my debit, she said that they only took cash for purchases under ( can't remember specifically ) $5. She had already started my coffee and instead of pressuring me to buy food also, she said I could pay next time I was in. It somehow came up that she was the owner and she was friendly from the moment I walked in the door! Meaning, I would've never guessed she was the owner--- they're usually stressed out thinking of a billion things. I was blown away at how nice and trusting her gesture was, and yes, I came back and paid later. Thanks, Herkimer!

Great coffee, friendly service, great art!. With the ever-changing art displays, music choices and patrons the atmosphere here can change from visit to visit. The staff is overall very cool, working to know your name by the 2nd visit and greet you with a joke, a smile or some sassy comment. People feel welcome here, as long as the owner isn't around. If we could just get rid of him this place would be fabulous!

Always has a water bowl and treats for the dogs.

Excellent Coffee. This is a great little neighborhood joint with very good coffee. Friendly Barista who has been in the business for 15 years and clearly knows what she is doing. Count on getting a well made excellent drink here.
