Top Pot--Downtown

For many doughnut devotees, this is the center of the universe. Those "hand-forged" dunkables are BIG, but the biggest challenge is deciding between the Feather Boa, Chocolate Cake, Old-Fashioned, Filled or Fritter. There's now some of those folded into the house ice cream. What a winning combo!

The sleekest and largest of Top Pot's Donut emporiums offers up great donuts and a fine cup of tea. Bright, energetic environment is great for remote work too.

old fashioned goodness.. This is by far the best donut in seattle. The old fashioned are amazing!! The vibe here is just the right combination of hipster cool and childhood memories. The coffee is perfect and the variety of sweet choices will not disappoint. You can get these at Starbucks, but it is so much better to go to the source!

Doughnuts? Donuts?. However you spell it, however you say it... These doughnuts are simply to die for! I am not the biggest fan of sweets, but I'll enjoy a good pastry from time to time, and anytime I'm walking over to Capital Hill or Chinatown, Top P0t is a must-visit locale along the way. The doughnuts are just great! The coffee is pretty good as well. Starbucks has taken to serving them at different locations and they're a h!t there, as well. Krispie who? (P*t & h!t are forbidden?)

So so dangerous. I had been having these doughnuts at Starbucks, and were starting to buy them by the half dozen! (of course I shared them with friends!..). So I finally made it to their actual shop and I was really in for it. I found myself trying to convince my cousin that he wanted to split "just one more" doughnut with me. I couldn't stop! I don't know what would have happened had I not had to drop him off somewhere directly following..The old fashioned is my favorite. Although the powdered-sugar coated, raspberry filled ones were light and airy (and not to be overlooked!), the old fashioned is just so yummy. It has a cake-like texture and is just dense enough to make you feel as though you're truly biting into a piece of heaven. When he took his first bite (his first ever of these wonderful little things!), he said "okay. now i know how these are different". You MUST try them.

Give me donuts!. The donuts here are dangerous. Pink Feathered Boa, what else can I say? They're so good! The drip coffee is so-so, the espresso is delicious, the barista's are superb...besides the occasional sandwhich mix-up (check before you eat). The cafe's always clean, a good place for homework, emailing, or reading.

CONTEMPORARY HIPPY SCENE. If you dont have a laptop that connects to wi-fi, you're missing out arent you? The replacement of Starbucks for writer wannabes (as Starbucks is so passe these days). Okay sandwiches, GREASY doughnuts (overpriced as well). PROS: Good coffee, friendly staff. Cafe life is good as well (people watching--looking out at fifth ave), but if you like to live the cafe life... you'll need more menu options than cold sadwiches and doughnuts. I love the hippy-type, but they can be a little pretentious (when they completely ignore you). Anyway, nice atmosphere... GOOD COFFEE! thumbs up.

Donuts perfected. I am one of the biggest donut enthusiasts around. I limit myself, however, because I could easily blimp out indulging on the things. So when it's time to treat myself to a donut, it HAS to be a Top ___(this did say the full name of the store, but CitySearch apparently won't let you use the second word of this company in your reviews. lol). I don't have an official Top ___ store in my neighborhood, so I always get my fix at Starbucks. And while some might say $1.50 is a bit high for a donut, I would beg to differ. Yes, that might be high for a Krispy Kreme or a Safeway donut. But not for one of these pieces of perfection. I don't know what Top ___ is doing, but they have truly mastered the art of donut making. I used to get everything from a maple bar to a Boston Creme. But since I tried Top Pots, I've become a purist. I now go for the old fashioned glazed. Wonderfully crunchy on the outside, and richly wonderful on the inside. Did I mention I like these donuts? It's no wonder they are popping up in Starbucks all over the country now. I see big things for the future of this local company. Go Top ___, go!

Not worth the hype. Bought some basic doughnuts over the weekend and was amazed at the prices--$1.49 for just a standard glazed! Yes, they are the cake-style and tasted like ones I could get at Winchell's or Duncan Donuts for almost half the price. Don't know what the hype is about.

Best Donuts ..period. I am a donut enthusiast. My waistline reflects this. I'm from Ohio where we take our portions big and bakery serioulsy. i've been to many local donut shops and also the more popular Krispy Kreme(nothing quite like a fresh glazed hot off the belt) and Dunkin donut(whose coffee is amazing) anyways Top pot offers the best of both worlds from cake to doughy, a variety of flavors and glazes. Perfect texture is the key element in their donut dominance. the candycane doughnut was amazing( we'll see you next christmas my friend) .. Try the variety of chocolate cake donuts with cinnamon or rasberry icing or the fritters. you can thank me later.

EXCELLENT Doughnuts in a neat atmosphere.... WOW... being that I have seen a few doughnuts in my day, I can honestly say that these are the best I have ever enjoyed and assure you that you will not be dissapointed... after MANY visits we have never been let down... there is truly something for every taste here... even muffins... in the summer they do a strawberry shortcake on a doughnut that is absolutely incredible... the coffee is very tasty as well and the service is typical Seattle hip and friendly... a great place to sit and enjoy a special treat with someone special while you watch all of the fun people go by... a Seattle must-do
