Between June and Labor Day, the average water temperature is 67 degrees--downright balmy by Northwest standards. Shallow waters stretch from the beach out to about four feet, perfect for wading adults and younger swimmers. A drop-off beyond that becomes a depth of 10 to 12 feet, leading to a swimming platform. Outdoor showers, a separate children's play area and picnic shelters make this an ideal spot to spend the day.
