Octopus for breakfast? Hell yum! It's all part of the Greek-inspired fare at this Tom Douglas place at Hotel Andra. The spreads are a good place to start, moving the needle way beyond the standard hummus. Kebabs are sizzling haute and do not miss the stellar seafood specials, vibrantly seasoned and cooked with care. So healthy, you'll definitely want to indulge in an order of those made-to-order Greek doughnuts to end your meal.
With donuts being a huge draw for some, its the smashed potatoes that lure me! This may be a hotel restaurant but don't judge it as such. Greek inspired delicious modern fare you should try, especially for brunch and lunch.
Very creative dishes. We didn't have a reservation on Friday night, but we were lucky to get seats in the full-service bar. By the time the food came, which took about an hour, we were able to sit on a table outside. I had the huckleberry finn, which is a huckleberry-infused gin, and the cumin crusted quail with spicy peaches. I really liked the unusual combination of quail and peach. It was a nice dining experience.
Tom Douglas does it again.. This is a great addition to the Tom Douglas restaurant choices you have in Seattle (Dahlia, Ettas, Palace Kitchen...). The atmosphere is comfortable and chic. Definitely recommend the kabobs. And the greek salad was made with wonderfully fresh ingrediants. This is a great spot to sit outside and enjoy happy hour. Do NOT miss the Baklava dessert - prepared in a way you will never forget...and tastes divine. We have been to Lola's twice and will return.
Very tasty! With some exceptions.... I really enjoyed my meal at Lola -- for both the food and the service. The potatoes may be the best I have ever had! A cross between smashed, baked & fried they are a garlic lovers dream and even tastier when dipped in the tangy tzatziki. The dessert may also be one of my all-time favorites: warm little pillows filled with sweet goat cheese and topped with honey and pistachios! Mmm! The shwarma was not good: really dry and stringy. The eggplant kebab was bad and tasted like it was from the Safeway deli case: we couldnt finish it. But the pork and prawns kebabs were great.

I'm seeing some negative reviews and I felt compelled to write. I just ate here and I felt the food was stupendous. My colleague and I had a bottle of wine, lamb and prawn kebabs, a whole striped bass (fish of the day), the roasted chicked, the garlic potatoes, the apple crumble, and the coffee ice cream for dessert.
I live in New York, and my wife and I go to fancy restaurants for major events instead of gift giving. We've eaten at Gramercy Tavern, Per Se, Jean George, Babbo, Daniel, Aureole, etc here in New York. All great eats.
I wasn't expecting much from Seattle (except great seafood). I was there on business this week. But Lola was amazing. Top drawer, great ambience, and to top it all off- we got out there for less for than $150 for the 2 of us with tip- for all the food listed above!
Disregard the neg reviews, and listen to the citysearch review- 9.5. Try it- you won't be disappointed!
Not one of Tom's best. Because i really like Tom Douglas's other restaurants and cook from his cookbook often, i was really looking forward to this dinner. Turns out, it was just so/so. The salads arrived right on top of the appetizer and then we waited 30+ minutes before our entrees arrived. The octopus on the salad was tasteless and there was something "off" in pretty much every dish. Just didn't live up to my expectation of a Tom Douglas restaurant. ( I agree with another reviewer - Charging extra for pita bread is ridiculous at a restaurant like this (and believe me, i'll pay lots of money for good food).
Amazing Food - Can't Wait to Go Back. I must have been there on a good night as I had FABULOUS service and AMAZING food - this place trumped my old favorite restaurant is now my new favorite place to rec. and dine at in Seattle. The food is interesting and complex in taste - ambiance is a little dark - everyone is squnched together but you can't hear your neighbors conversation so it seems intimate. Hightly rec. the braised short rib tagine and roasted red pepper relish. Very tasty. The house red is great as well - so no need to scour their really creative wine list. I think that this Tom Douglas restaurant hits the spot and is so much more interesting than some of the other stand bys. Bravo!
Missing a certain something. The food was good and served at the right temperature with several little nice touches. Portions were a bit small for the price and once you added sides, etc. it made for a pricey meal. Charging extra for things like more pita bread with a starter is ridiculous at a place of this caliber. Why $3 for one little bowl of pita is a legit charge on a $150 bill is beyond me.
Welcome to breakfast outside the box. This was a tough review. I liked the atmosphere, loved the service, and the food was good-ish. It certainly wasn't bad, but we went for breakfast and while they seem to pride themselves in breakfast, i'd say try em out for lunch. There is something unappealing about the availability for Lamb Tongue @ breakfast time. All in all, breakfast was average in quality, but overpriced. Lunch looks more promising.
Tom - you've done it again. I have only been to Lola once so far but I will certainly be back. Even though Greek food is not my favorite I am craving another visit - soon.
Lamb tongue tastes better than it sounds. A little hesitant to stay and order after noticing that gyros were missing from the lunch menu. Fortunately, our decision to stay was rewarded with delicious lamb tongue kabobs with a sweet apple glaze. Warm pita bread with spread. Harrisa is not as spicy as it's described to be.
