Get tattooed by Joel Kennedy...the best around!. Joel Kennedy is the best around. Joel has been doing my tattoos for many years. I constantly get stopped by strangers asking me about my tattoos and I always send them to Joel. He does amazing color work that is still vivid and beautiful many years later. He is easy to work with and is happy to listen to ideas and work with me to create a design that I will love. He has done full sleeves and chest on my husband and it's some of the best work I've ever seen. If you are looking for an amazing tattoo go see Joel Kennedy.

Easily One of the Best Tattoo Artists Seattle Will Ever See- Joel Kennedy.
I wasn't sure if I was ever going to find the right artist to create and tattoo a sleeve that would make me want to wear tank tops all year round in Seattle. Enter Joel Kennedy from Under the Needle.
I told Joel I wanted something "bold, yet feminine"- and within a week he came up with the most amazing Japanese influenced drawing with wild water splashes and waves, surrounding dahlias and chrysanthemums... it is more beautiful than I imagined and definitely worth the wait. Not only is Joel masterful artist, but he has been completely professional at each visit. He starts on time and works diligently until we've both decided that it's a good stopping point. I sense that after 16 years of tattooing, Joel simply loves what he does- and wants to see his clients beyond mere satisfaction when they leave the shop.
Under the Needle sits at a perfectly convenient location in downtown Seattle just off Denny Way on 6th Avenue. There's always a parking spot (metered, of course) right outside the front door. The shop is clean and the staff is always very friendly. I get to listen to great music and laugh- a definite perk when receiving a time-consuming, intensely detailed tattoo!
