Best Club Experience in Years. Nectar is awesome! I originally went in for Happy Hour and ended up staying till close. The food was great ($5 Pizza, score) and they had a VJ playing just about any video you'd ever want to see and hear (Violent Femmes anyone?). As a live music venue it rivals the Showbox as far as great views and good sound. The loft was cool though I could only check it out for a moment cause there was private party going on, seems to be a great view of the stage. Our server was sassy but sweet and very prompt which seems to be an anomoly these days. The whole experience start to finish was enjoyable and didn't hurt when I saw my tab. Go to Nectar before its so full you can't get in.

Don't waste your time. Don't expect service to be any thing but sub par. The staff is extremely disorganized and totally inept. It took over 1 1/2 hour to get our food after having to have to hunt down a waitperson and we were never able to get her to take a drink order. Had to open a tab at the bar and when closing out was blatently overcharged on my credit card slip. Staff was completely unhelpful and pretty much ignored me instead of dealing with this complaint. Total disappointment.

Highly recommended.. I'd actually met one of the owners while trying to find a home. He's also in Real Estate. Although we ended up parting ways prior to finding my house, I had the pleasure of bringing friends to this establishment. The care and expense they've placed into the decor and music is top shelf. The crowd is great and ambience even better. The patio opens up on warm evenings for the smokers (like myself). The music is not too loud and is excellent. The owner, one of them at least, that rhymes with 'ed' is a great guy and even better businessman bringing us a place like Nectar. Check it out.

I'll second the smoke-free kudos. I've never been when there's a cover charge. But, the happy hour is great. And, I'm glad they're smoke-free! On another visit, I attended a friend's birthday celebration. We had reserved the big booth/table and use of the pool table upstairs. A great spot!

Smoke-free bar: Other bars listen up!. The security guards and cashier were very friendly and funny! I was super impressed that the bar is SMOKE FREE! The music was good (different blend of alternative/electronic genres). I enjoyed the ambience and crowd, and drinks were reasonably priced. The cover charge was $6 the first time I went on a Friday night, and $7 the second time on a Saturday night; I think those prices are a little steep for a Seattle bar, but I think it's worth it since it's smoke-free. The venue itself is a bit small, and there is little seaing inside. The bar and restrooms are clean, outdoor patio is spacious. Overall I recommend this club, and I'm definitely drawn to it because it's SMOKE FREE! I hope other bars/clubs in Seattle pick up on this trend as many people like me are willing to pay a little extra for it.
