Fantastic & Unique Drinks, Yummy Food. We stumbled across this place while looking for a late lunch. What we got was a meal that exceeded our expectations. The server was incredibly friendly and very helpful with drink and food selections. The menu offered a variety of tastes and all our meals were delicious. We were also very tempted by all the drinks offered and plan to go back to try the ones we didn’t have room for. I HIGHLY recommend the Irish root beer (rum, coke & Guinness) & the Irish margarita (Jameson & sprite instead of tequila). Oh and the view wasn’t bad either!

Guinness on the Beach!. The Statue of Liberty on the beach at Alki in West Seattle marks the spot where Seattle "immigrants"can find this bastion of Irish home-cooking and cold, frothy pints called the Celtic Swell. Potato Leek soup, Shepards Pie, Bangers and Mash and my personal favorite, the Irish Sausage rolls in puff pastry top the list of truly authentic Irish fare that can be found here. Friendly service and great Irish music at night, without the crowds. Lunch through Late Night and Brunch on Sundays. Slainte!

Doesn't dissapoint.. Celtic Swell's philosophy is quick and friend service of traditional Irish pub food in a not-so-overly-rowdy bar. They seem to have a perfect combination of Irish bar mixed with family style dining. Its a breath of fresh air to see an Irish pub cater to families and large groups for dinner. We enjoy heading there in the late evenings to grab an Irish Rootbeer (highly recommend!) or a cold draft and listen to the house guitarist. Really amazing talent. The food is traditional and flavorful - Sausage Pastry Puff is an appetizer but large enough for a meal and its killer good. I recently celebrated a birthday there and we had nearly 18 people come at separate intervals and the staff was super accommodating to our large group. Great spot for a one on one chat over a beer or a big outing with friends!

I threw up thier food.. The place is loud, but there is lots of atmosphere. However, they

need to clean and prepare food properly. There is no reason anymore for

bad food preparation practices that lead to sick customers. I have scratched

this resturant off my list.

Editorial Review. This Irish restaurant and bar brings a feeling of old Ireland to the West Seattle scene.

bland. This bar reminds me of a place people go to celebrate their 21st birthday. It's clientele seems to be very young people. It's loud! The service was hurried and distracted, and the food bland and dull. Maybe Irish food is bland, as there wasn't any flavor to it. We got there just as the kitchen was closing, so maybe we got leftovers, though. There are better bars in West Seattle.

Best Fish & Chips in Seattle. This place has the best fish and chips in all of Seattle. The other food is incredible too - it is truly a place where homemade food is featured and created with care. The Irish stew is so delicious, as was the burger - one of the best I've tasted in the city. My friends and I go here all the time, it is our favorite place in West Seattle. The view is incredible, the staff are kind and helpful - even when they get busy. The bartenders rock, the drinks are spectacular. It can get a bit noisy, but heck - it is a pub! You always feel comfortable and at home here. Seriously, I can't rave enough about this place.

Will never return or recommend. I brought a group of Moms to this restaurant right after Christmas for a well deserved Mom's Night Out. This restaurant was so loud we couldn't even hear each other from across the table. The service was awful. There was one waiter for the entire restaurant and the restaurant was packed. We waited almost an hour for the waiter to even take our order. We'll never return.

I LOVE this place!!. I think this is one of the best West Seattle hang-outs! There's always something going on. The food is super yummy, sausage rolls are awesome, and the staff is very friendly. The new summer line-up with ladies nights on Wed., Poker nights on Thurs. and various promotions on the weekends has me really excited! Plus a terrific Happy Hour. Be sure to check out nights when Michael Northcutt is playing. He really gets a crowd going!
