Melissa is professional and experienced. She has a warm and comforting personality. When you go to for the services she offers it helps when the person is generally a happy individual. The prices are super competitive and incredibly reasonable.
You get free street parking. I booked an appointment for a follow up based on the awesome experience I had.
Love It!. I started seeing Melissa for brow arch waxing 13 years ago when she was working at Gene Juarez. When she opened her own Waxing Boutique, I happily followed her. I have had a few occasions to have my eyebrows waxed by other professionals, but Melissa is the best of the bunch! Her boutique has a cozy, homey feel and she is always personable and easy to chat with. I've never had a problem getting an appointment, even with little notice. The parking can be tricky at certain times of the day, but I wouldn't consider going anywhere else. Melissa is great!
Awful Eyelash Extensions, Good Waxing. They do a good waxing job. However, the eyelash extensions were awful. They were all clumped together, poked at my eye and many fell out after a day. They rarely perform eyelash extensions and therefore aren’t good at them. If you’re interested in eyelash extensions go to someone who does them on a regular basis DO NOT go to the waxing boutique for eyelash extensions.

Horrible customer service, worthless results! I went for eyelash extensions last week. Prior to going, the phone consult assured me that the end result would look like you were wearing a set of false eyelashes but more natural looking without the need for mascara. What I ended up with was literally 15 eyelashes per eye. I now look like a half-cartoony Japanime character. Kate, the technician who did them gave me the excuse that I had sparse eyelashes and she spent more time than usual on me. The reason I had them done was BECAUSE my eyelashes are sparse. And sparse as they may be, I have more than 15 eyelashes per eye! This was a lame excuse for her lack of expertise as far as I'm concerned. I told her based on these results, it wasn't something I would ever do again and I feel like I threw $115 down the toilet.
After speaking to the owner, Kate told me that there was nothing they would do for me. They didn't recompense me, offer to try to fix them, or even a discount to fix them. Once they had my money, they could care less about trying to keep me as a customer and not making me feel gypped.
Don't believe the hype! It's a complete waste of time and money. I've never been more dissatisfied with any product or service I've ever purchased. With a bad product, you can return it, but with bad work and terrible customer service, you get nothing except feeling ripped off.
Best waxer around!. I've been going to Melissa for waxing for over 10 years and I would follow her to Portland!! I've always gotten excellent customer service as well as the best brows around! The Boutique is adorable, has great treats and a very comfortable waiting area. My boyfriends even sees her for back, chest and brow waxing before his Ultimate Fighting and Body Building competitions. I suggest that anyone who wants great brows, fast waxing and amazing make-up go see Melissa at the Waxing Boutique. I also got an opportunity to meet Melissa's employee Trudy, I needed to get in on a day Melissa was off and was able to get in with Trudy. She did a great leg wax, painless and fast!!
Wonderful Experience. I have been going to The Waxing Boutique since it opened. I have always received great service - the waxing services are top notch (the principal opened the boutique after many successful years at a "big name" salon.) The salon space is warm and inviting. I have been able to get appointment times that work well for me. Parking can be a bit difficult at different times of day. Overall, I highly recommend The Waxing Boutique.
Great waxing; friendly, professional customer service. I have been going to the Waxing Boutique regularly for over a year now and am very happy with the services I have received. I get great bikini waxes, with far fewer rashes/bumps than I have gotten at any other salon. I often have to reschedule due to work commitments that come up, and my appointments are always rescheduled in a timely manner. The service is friendly and prices are quite competitive with other waxing services in Seattle (many salons charge more). The space itself is very warm, comfortable and homey. I recommend the Waxing Boutique and will continue my patronage.
Bad customer service.
I went to visit The Waxing Boutique a couple of months ago and I never went back. Though they did do a good job with the actual waxing, they completely put me off by not trying to cater to my needs.
There is an incentive program with the bikini wax: if you return in 4-6 weeks, the wax is discounted, the incentive being (presumably) to get clients to return instead of going to another waxer. After the initial waxing, my partner had surprised me with a trip to Florida, so I called to change my appointment from the 6th week to the 7th week because so that I could be hairless at the beach. They would not let me change it, stating that the $55 deal was an incentive program to get me to return only within 4-6 weeks after the initial wax.
Needless to say, I did not return. The discounted waxing was a big incentive for me to drive across town to get to the shop because I assumed that it meant that they wanted to encourage and thank their loyal customers. I ended up feeling like my business (and me) were not important enough for them to work with me instead of against me.
While I understand that the goal is to not make special concessions for everyone, in this case, would one more week have made a big difference? If the incentive's purpose is to thank loyal clients, then 1 more week shouldn't make a huge difference. The result was that they lost a client and they now have someone writing bad reviews about their business all because they rudely refused to work with me. I would rather pay more for a place that makes me feel important to their business.
