HoMing and the New Brazillian Blowout!. I have been going to HoMing to cut and color my hair for almost 14 years now. Not only is he the first person to ever make me happy with my unruly, difficult hair through a great cut, great products and great advice, he has now given me an easily manageable head of hair! HoMing gave me a new version of the Brazillian Blowout, but this one is non-toxic, with only natural ingredients. Before this application, I had to ALWAYS straighten my hair with a flat iron. As a new mom, I could not afford the time to do this every day. Now, I can let my hair dry on its own for a calm, but natural looking wave or blow dry it with a round brush and have perfectly straight hair. It sounds too good to be true, but it is for real. HoMing takes the time to apply it right, to give you the longest lasting blowout for your money. If you have difficult, poofy, unruly hair-this is the way to go!

Simply wonderful. Samantha (Sam) is taking Seattle by storm. I was first introduced to her at her previous salon in Ballard, but since moving downtown to Salon Modello, she is unstoppable.

She initially took my boring black hair to a vibrant copper red (which nobody will stop complimenting), and just gave me a a Brazilian Blowout ZERO yesterday!

Let me tell you... I cannot stop petting my hair. It's completely frizz free and soft as a baby's bottom. Best part, it only took Sam 90 minutes to apply. I was in and out, like magic. Sam styled my hair for me and made me feel like a princess. I've been giving my hair to Sam for the past year and will continue to do so, and suggest you check her out as well. Also, if you have thick, frizzy, unmanageable hair, let Sam give you a Brazilian Blowout treatment. It will save your hair life, promise!

versatility. If you walk in knowing exactly what you want he can make your fantasy a reality and if you're not quite sure of what you want but know that you just need a change , well he's great there too, having great sense of style and what would look good on you. i've actually been in both positions and he's been right on. His cuts are so precise and perfect that i don't think a couple of days go by without my getting a compliment on his cut. we all know what a good cut is worth.

I've had cuts in LA, San Francisco and other cities but HoMing is a true find.

The salon itself is convenient to get to and quite comfortable to be in, near nice shops and restaurants.

For all ages. Kieu is a great stylist for all age groups. Myself and my 14 year old daughter having been seeing Kieu at Modello for a couple of years now. She listens to what my daughter wants and also offers ideas on current hair trends, all the while remembering to keep it age appropriate. My daughter gets many compliments on her hair style.

Every few months I see Kieu to refresh my cut. She knows exactly how I like it and always makes sure I look good before walking out. She has also styled my hair for a few weddings and some "hot" dates. She always does a GREAT job.

The salon itself is always clean!

Great stylists. I have let Richard cut and style my hair the way he thinks best and it always looks great. I get tons of compliments too. Some people don't like all the hair product he puts in your hair but if you want it to look great all day, you must have it. This is now my regular salon and I feel confident I will always look my best.

Q Is Awesome ... Best Stylist in Downtown Seattle!. I was blown away by my haircut with Q. I most impressed when I told her I wanted the Jenny McCarthy bob ... she not only gave me a precise cut, but she gave me styling tips to boot. The cut was a mirror image and I didn't even need to tear the pix out of a magazine. Q is well informed, easy to talk to and made me look like a star. Visit her, she won't disappoint.

Avoid Richard. After getting a blowout from Richard, my hair was still frizzy. I've gotten blowouts at Supercuts that made my hair sleek and smooth. His technique is sloppy; he doesn't control the styling tool the whole time. He didn't pay attention and kept bonking my head with the blowdryer; once he let it slip in his hand and the hot air jetted at my eyeball. Also, he talked about himself and his dislikes the whole time.

My friend goes to Tara, though, and her hair always looks gorgeous. Plus, the salon is conveniently located in the downtown shopping district. So it's probably still a good bet if you make an appointment with not-Richard.

Worse haircut that the one I gave myself when I was 4.. I had this place pushed on to me by one of their employees I met at Palomino. I thought I could get a good service, since they are located in the trendiest are in town... Boy was I wrong. I got one of the worst haircuts in my life. the hairdresser I had, Llene advised towards some highlights so, I went for it. Big mistake. This lady does not know her stuff one bit. On the end I ended up paying over $125, plus tip, and left looking like an 80's punk rocker skink head. What ever you do choose another salon. Even "split end" or "supercuts" would be a better choice. Don't say I did not warn you...

BEST SERVICE EVER!!!!!. I have been lookin for a hairstylist for years, I have a lot of hair & I have had nothing but bad experiences with hairstylists. My hair is very difficult to manage & very hard to cut. I have not found one person that could cut my hair right. So being through so many bad incidents I was ready to give up. Then a friend mentioned a gal at Salon Modello, I was tired of trying new people, I was really hesitant to even trust my friend ( she is not the first to recommend someone) but I said this will be the last, if I am let down once again then I would have to live with the fact that my hair will be doomed forever! Anyways I made an appt. with a gal named Kieu. Let me tell you the service was great, she knew exactly what my problem was, she knew that my thick hair is so hard to manage & I told her about the bad experiences. She cut my hair to where I can manage it myself & it looked great. I loved my haircut so much!!! I was so happy that I finally found that one person that could do my hair right! I was so relieved after & walked out that salon feeling great! I am never going to go to anyone else....Never!!!
