If this is anything like the Shoreline Amante's Do NOT EAT!
by erongcal at Citysearch
the shoreline amante's chef's do not even know how to make fettuccini carbonara. on two different occasions i ordered fettuccini carbonara and instead, on both orders, got noodles and alfredo sauce. no green onions, no mushrooms, no bacon, nothing that makes fettuccini carbonara fettuccini carbonara was added. AGAIN THIS IS WHAT I GOT: NOODLES + SAUCE. AND AGAIN: THIS WAS ON TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS!!!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
- Pros: nothing
- Cons: the cooks and chef's
Horrible- especially for Veterans
by Seattlemilitaryman at Citysearch
I worked for Amante as a delivery driver for a total of one month-and hated it! I was blown away at the way they treated me as an employee (especially since I am a Combat Veteran). As everyone knows, times are hard and jobs are scarce, and this was the only job I could find at the time. Long story short, he found out that I applied for unemployment (cause working 6 hours a week at minimum wage won't pay the bills) and was very irritated at me and said that it made him look bad. He tried moving me to the Amante down in Kent working 2-3 hours a day, 7 days a week (and I quote) "until you either get sick, tired or quit". I quickly found out from the unemployment office representative that this was unreasonable and I could quit. They found in my favor.
I don't want anything to do with them if this is how they treat their employees ESPECIALLY COMBAT VETERANS. Veterans fight for every American's rights and freedom. They don't deserve to be treated that way EVER.
- Pros: decent pizza
- Cons: service, price$$$$, treatment of employees (esp. Veterans)
Love the Gorgonzola Guru Pizza
by Hillarykp at Citysearch
We received the menu in the mail and took a chance on the gorgonzola guru pizza. Usually we would ignore the menus that come in the mail since most of them have lousy service and a bland crust. This was the best pizza I have ever had. To be perfectly honest, this pizza is so good. We have failed to try anything else on the menu. I am sure there are other good things on the menu.We are hooked. This is a white pizza that has gorgonzola, walnuts, capers, mozzarella cheese, whole roasted garlic and caramelized onions. We added the prosciutto which is and additional cost, but well worth the price for me. Everything is well balanced with thesalty, savery and the sweet.I haven't figured it out yet,but I think they drizzled the pizza with a sugery brown butter.Delivery is free when you spend ten bucks or more. The new york cheese cake is delicious as well, but a little pricely at times. You get free bread sticks which are more like mini bread pillows when you purchase a medium pizza, but the menu states the it is for a limited time. We have a new pizza joint that opened up about a block from us. Even though it is convenient to have pizza that is close.I would rather order from Amante than the place close to home.
- Pros: Delicious Gorgonzola Guru Pizza
- Cons: Kinda pricey for delivery
