Seattle >Temple Billiards
I totally fell in love w the place! The ambiance, the character of the original structure & moldings still in place, all holding unique stories from the numerous people who have passed thru those walls in the 19 yrs the bar has been in business is pretty damn awesome! Only MAJOR turn off is the cost per hr to play pool. Rented a table for a mere 2 hrs but had a $33 bill. Not cool. On the plus side, a long island ice tea only cost me $7.50...LOVE that! Overall, I will go back & will def reccomend the bar to others.
Skeeziest Bartenders in Seattle. The only thing Temple Billiards has going for it are the pool tables, which despite the astronomical hourly pricing are actually decent. They serve food but it is terrible. The jukebox, despite being connected to the internet, has a poor selection. Unfortunately what would be an otherwise just ok hall is made terrible by the dishonest, creepy bartenders; if you're a woman expect the bartenders to hit on you in the most slimy over the top sleazy ways, and they're all over 40 (and not in a good way). If you're a guy expect them to overcharge you to make up for the booze they've been slipping to their friends for free. The staff also spends their off hours drinking here and tend to get overserved and start trouble with non regulars. In conclusion, if you're not looking to get hit on by 40-somethings who still share apartments with roommates, on or if you're not drinking buddies with the staff, this place is not for you.
Great party scene!. I recently held my birthday party here. It was an amazing night! I wanted to go somewhere new, with different things to offer. Somewhere where my friends wouldn't get bored easily. I read a few reviews for Temple and thought it may be fun, so I decided to call up and see what they were about. Right off they were friendly and very helpful. The guy I talked to seemed interested in what I wanted for my party, he told me about their prices (which, for pool I thought were a little high), how they took away karaoke due to lack of publicity (kinda down about that too), about their drum and base nights on Saturday (which was completely worth the $5 cover) and he alloyed me to reserve 2 pool tables in advance. The bar tenders were very nice, prompt and new their drinks. Music was great! Overall, I have to say it made it one of my best birthdays!
Best after work bar around Pioneer Square/Stadiums. Unbeatable happy hour for good beer. The bartenders are personable. The pool tables are big. I have no complaints.
Fun times all around...... I tend to go downstairs there on Saturday Nights for Drum N Bass night, but even just kickin it upstairs to play some pool is very enjoyable. It's usually busy, but not packed. The staff is great- the same 3 or 4 guy bartenders and door man that we've known for years. Great drink prices too, and once in a while we tend to get their delicious pizza....it's a great casual, fun spot.
Very Cool if you like Karaoke and Pool. We swung by Temple to grab a drink and shoot some stick. What we found was a very cool bar staff, inexpensive drinks, and cheap pool. As we played and fiesta'd we noticed the faint cries of some distant juke box. The sound was muted but we knew it to be nearby. After checking further in our intoxicated stuper we were pleastently suprised by a slightly hidden downstairs. after further exploration we found a very cool basement with another bar and some seroious karaoke goin' on. We joined in, embarassed ourselves but had a great time. Temple has a unique setting and is a truly fun place to hang out.
Editorial Review by Citysearch Editors. Serious billiards bar that doesn't forget the extras: generous happy hours, live DJs and free Wi-Fi.
