Efficient Servuce. I had a large chip in my windshield. I called All Star Wednesday morning in work and they were able to pop over to my office in Bellevue that same day to fix my ding. Not knowing what to expect, the man that came to my aid was very helpful and patient with my questions. Thanks All-Star, but bring back the Jamie Moyer commercials!!!
Job Sloppily Done.
The window repair man called me himself about half hour before he showed up to do the work. Prior to this I had not received any confirmation via email nor phone that my online inquiry from the night before for the window repair had even been read. The call surprised me! Just because All Star had received authorization from my insurance company for payment they assumed they would work on my car the following day and when they wanted to.
Anyway I had left my vehicle at my sister's house while I was at work so she could facilitate the repair. Joe, the repairman, showed up around 10 am, started and finished the job without inquiring about payment. Once completed he argued with my sister and demanded he pay her (I had already told my sister that I had prepaid the repair company - that being Safelite who actually CONFIRMED the scheduled appointment the night before and were planning to show up between 2 & 3 pm). She was shocked because he threatened to remove the repaired window if he did not pay her so she proceeded to pay him.
After MANY phone calls and transfers to a very aloof and patronizing manager by the name of Tom (he admitted he told Joe over the phone to remove the window if my sister refused to pay because "it was suspicious that [we] had not received payment for the window repair especially since [we] had received the work order request from Progressive then received a cancellation," then retracted the statement IMMEDIATELY when I asked why Joe hadn't listened to his very own manager and just saved me a headache entirely) and other customer service representatives, I just wanted to forget the entire situation. Once off work and upon returning to my vehicle I did not plan on making any more calls. I would have been happy with what All-Star promises customers. BUT... now the window makes a rubbing noise when sliding down that was never there. It sounds like its struggling to function properly. Worse of all is that there is still broken glass EVERYWHERE in my car (the window was busted in to steal my purse)!!! I was promised a thorough vacuum AND that the glass shards that fell within the door itself would all be removed. My car floors look as if Joe just picked up the largest pieces he could find. There are random pieces of large glass here and there. I can actually see pieces of glass still in the window frame on the rubber lining!! I can HEAR glass still in my door when the door shuts.
After a long day of speaking with incompetent managers, who would dash out the door at the end of the day before handling a customer complaint after saying they would contact me immediately, and phone call after phone call, I just wanted what I paid for.
Now my insurance recommended me to go to a Safelite location where they will clean up the mess All Star made.

We got a fax from Safelite Auto Glass/Progressive 8/20/09 at 10:51 pm asking us to perform a door window on Mary's Honda . We wrote up the order at 5:37 A.M and set the appt for between 8 and 12:00. Joe, one of the nicest guys and a terrific technician arrived about 10. By 11 the job was done and he asked to collect the $100 deductible from Mary's sister. We tried to reach Mary multiple times and finally asked for a credit card number from her sister, which she gave. Mary called me upset because she did not make the appt. This is called steering and is illegal in the state of WA, but I understand her frustration. I offered to come and take the window out, but she was so upset that Joe could not come right back. Mary said Safelite would be there soon.
As for the pieces of glass, I hope it is more frustration than truth but either way - I apologize. I asked Joe about it and he did not agree but I reminded him of the importance of cleanup.
Very convient, with pick up and drop off service!. I work downtown so I was able to take advantage of their drop off service. my car was done in 2 hours and the ladies at the front even helped me call my insurance and sort out what I had to pay for vs. what they were going to. I had been putting if off for so long because I thought it was going to be such a hassle, but they truly did make it super easy, and now my windshield is crystal clear again. I also got the 12 free car washes at Brown Bear, which may seem silly, but thats pretty much a whole year of washes for me. Thanks again All-Star Auto Glass.
Great Service - Excellent Repair. I heard about All-Star Auto Glass through their TV commercial. My car was broken into on Thursday, and they came out on Friday and fixed it within an hour. Great customer service over the phone, and very nice in person. There is no additional charge for at-home service. They even vacuumed out the broken glass. My only complaint is they give you a 4 hour time period. I would get more done with a 2 hour time period, instead of waiting around for 4 hours.
Untimely Service. After waiting from 9am-noon in my given time window for them to "conveniently" come to my home to repair my winshield, I finally got fed up and called to find out where my technician was (it was already past noon). The first person I talked to on the phone simply said "sorry, I don't know where he is" and had no further help for me. Several minutes later I received another phone call, this time with an apology and blame being placed on the technician. They said he would be there in fifteen minutes. Ten minutes later another phone call and a lame excuse about traffic conditions, they said it would take even longer. All said and done I couldn't believe how long it took them to get here, and why they couldn't make a courteous phone call to notify me of any delays. I will definitely take my business elsewhere in the future and don't recommend all star to anyone.
Fast service, quality work.
I called late on a Friday hoping to get a weekend appt., but all the installers were already booked. The scheduler found me a slot for Monday afternoon. The installer showed up at 12:45pm, told me it would take him 45 minutes, and voila! At 1:30pm, he was finished, and there was a bright, shiny, new windshield on my Tundra. The mirror was mounted perfectly - I have had experiences with other glass shops where my rear view mirror fell off a few hours after they replaced the windshield. He informed me how long to wait before driving my truck to give the glue for the mirror plenty of time to dry, and how long I should wait for the seals to set before washing my truck.
The service was courteous and professional, plus we get 10 free car washes from Brown Bear! Can't beat that!
All Star comes to you. Did you know that All Star will come to your home or work to fix your windshield? I didn't know that when I called and was pleasantly surprised that I would not have to make time to bring my car into their shop. The tech was friendly and informative, told me I couldn't drive for awhile because the glue needed to set. I would definitely recommend these guys to anyone who needs a new windshield.
helpful friendly service. I had to replace my car window because some thieves had broken into my car. It was a completely horrible experience to get everything fixed and replaced, but one of the easiest parts was getting my window replaced. Michelle was very helpful and sympathetic to my situation. If I ever (heaven forbid!) need to get a car window replaced I will definitely call All-Star Auto Glass again!
I read a lot of great reviews about this place and this was my top choice to get my windshield replaced. But my experience has been very different from others.
I first called to ask for a quote on replacing the windshield on my BMW, and the price they gave was $461.09. A few days later I realized that my company qualifies for a 25% discount at their shop, so I called again. I immediately mentioned that I'm an employee of my company and they said I would get the 25% discount, but guess what quote they gave me... $461.09! That's with the so-called 25% discount! So I tried calling the next day again, this time I just asked them for the retail quote, which was, not surprisingly, $461.09. I then mentioned to the rep. that I'm an employee of my company and should qualify for the 25% discount, she then claims that the original quote she gave me was already discount 25%, the quote that she gave me before I mentioned my discount qualification. So they give everyone a 25% discount right off the bat? I don't think so.
Bottom line: their sales reps are very dishonest. I would not go there to get my windshield replaced despite their good reputation for doing good work.
Great Customer Service and Fast too. All Star Auto glass has great customer service....even though I only went in to get my windshield wipers fixed, they still treated me well and the service was quick too. All Star also made some minor adjustments to my windshield that some other auto glass company didn't do when I had them fix my broken windshield. They were awesome. I will be back, thanks All Star!
