SCARY!!!
by reikokozu
Felt like I was walking into a scary dirty frat house from the college days. Walked in to find the security guard dancing with girls that looked underage and taking pictures with their phones. I couldn't even stay I didn't feel safe eating or having a drink there.
- Cons: yuck
Accidental find

A freind & I ended up at Mira! by accident & loved it. We were there early so it was quite dead but the bartender was very nice& the cook even came out & chatted with us. Dinner was very yummy, had Sambuca chicken pasta. Drinks were affordable & so was dinner.
- Pros: Food, Staff, Drink Prices
Hidden Oasis.

Okay, so it's in a strange spot ... a VERY strange spot , but what a spot it is!! I live a block away, and it took me a little more than two months to brave the depths of the Union Hall, but once I did, I felt like I'd stumbled into one of Seattle's best-kept secrets.
The decor is funky and loungy, the bartenders are friendly (but eccentric - in a cool way!), and the drinks are lush and inventive. There is always a rotating selection of beers on tap, and the bar is fully stocked, but the best bet is to let the bartenders get creative with your first round; if you don't like it, they'll drink it!
Summertime is key for a lot of Seattle restaurants, but Mira! has them ALL beat with their huge, private, sub-street-level garden courtyard. They serve food (lunch, happy hour and dinner) according to a seasonal menu, and the prices are super reasonable.
Some weeknights, you'll encounter one of the union groups that meet in the building - it's a great reminder that even in Belltown, real people still exist.
Like the name says - "Look! -Check it out!"
- Pros: Laid-back atmosphere, good drinks
- Cons: Just off the beaten path, Tacky, Union Hall
