Tips for Seattle Locksmith 24/7

Stay FAR away from this company. I wish I had come on here first. Everything you read about them is true. This is a total scam. They show up and charged way way more than I was quoted on the phone. Please please please don't use this company. I have since learned from a reputable locksmith in Seattle that they also do an absolutly terrible work on house locks. I used them to get me in my car. I have since been trying to get back some money back and it has not appeared on my card even though the company said it would. Now I'm in the midst of dealing with my bank and it's claims department. Here is the most important thing: Do not sign the receipt. Do not accept the charge either. Simply get a taxi home if it's too late and go to an ACTUAL store. It should be around 50 to 75 bucks. They charged me WAY more. Better yet, go get a bunch of keys made and have them with friends, buried in the yard, etc. Don't be an idiot like me and not have a backup key, even though I thought I still had one.

These people operate out of Jersey. It's not even a Seattle company....the reputable place also said the Attorney General of WA also is aware of this company, there have been that many complaints.

The WORST. They charged me at least 4x what it should cost (and that was 20x the original quote) and the lock didn't work! They were rude, wouldn't answer the phone, and I ended up pay another company $240 to break me it (it locked me out the first time I used it due to poor workmanship keying a cylinder) and fit their bad cylinder.

Run, screamin, in the other direction!

Complete Ripoff. These guys charged $200 more for the same job I had gotten done a week before. I refused to pay and they said there is nothing they can do about it. They charged me $200 for a $14 lock. NEVER go to this company trust me!

Horrible lying cheating stealing.. This company charged my credit card and never completed the work. Here's the quick story.

I called this company to get the locks on my front door changed. Technician arrived at rental property roughly on time (5 minutes late). I had to leave so I gave him my debit card number and assumed work would be completed for agreed price ($300 for two doors). 2 days later, by debit card is billed for $325. My tenant emails me a few days later asking when the locks will be changed. It turns out he never completed the work.

I've called the company many times, been hung up on, put on hold indefinitely, told a manager would call be back on two occassions, told to call back during different hours, etc. etc. After a month, I'm giving up and writing off $325 to this LYING SCAMMING COMPANY.

Yes, I intended to yell lying and scamming. Probably doesn't help to yell "company" but that's what happens when you're pissed.

I just wish I had taken 10 minutes to read these awful reviews.

BAIT & SWITCH - run away from this locksmith!. This locksmith firm was, on the phone, misleading about both response time and cost.

1.) Arrived the following day vs. half hour later

2.) Required +$100 more than quoted on the phone.

I sent him away after he arrived.

Call anybody else.

Phone quote vs. real charge - ridiculous. I locked my keys in my car and called these guys. The phone estimate was $39 for the service call and $29 for the work. When the guy got to my car, he took a look at the lock for about 2 seconds and turned to me and said, "the service charge is $39, and the work cost is $179." I had to have him repeat it three times before I could believe what he said. I explained that the quote was for $39 (service) and $29 for work (estimate). I get that it is an estimate, but $179 to unlock?! I told him I wouldn't pay that much money and he said "what are you going to do? your keys are still in the car?" I replied "I will pay your service fee and call another company, I don't care how much they charge, but I am not paying you $179 to unlock my car!" As it turns out, we negotiated to a $100 fee. [Note: I have had to call a locksmith a couple times in the past, but I have NEVER paid more than $50 total. I am stunned at what these locksmiths think they can get away with]

Can I give negative stars?. Terrible terrible terrible.

This company is a scam. Besides the ridiculous hidden prices, the service was horrific. The 'technician' was aggressive and rude and embarrassed me in front of my company. He told me that the price would be $110 with credit card or $80 if I had cash. When I asked why the charge was higher than the $15.00 base estimate I had been given on the phone, he ridiculed me and said, "Did you not even hear what they said on the phone? They said 'And up. And UP!' "

My flimsy interior door lock was quickly opened with a plastic card swipe (why didn't I do that!?) and he left with a smile saying, "Well that was an expensive lesson for you."

I was so frazzled by the way he was treating me and the escalated price that by the end of his visit I was in tears. I've never felt so intimidated by a service person.

Calling customer service was no better. The supervisor was rude, blunt, and unhelpful. Everything was my fault, despite the misinformation more than one employee had given me. She actually put me on the phone with the nameless technician and I was asked to make him remember me by recounting the experience to him. He pretended not to remember and in the end I was only given $40 back from a total of $135 that I paid.

Tell your friends to stay away from this company. No one should have to pay $100+ to be treated that way.

worst service ever. after being told someone would show up within 25 minutes i finally called them back after an hour and was told the technician is 10 minutes away. The technician finally called. WhenI told him I need a new key for my car ignition he said he'll call me back in 1 minute. 20 minutes later no one had called. I called the office back and the guy on the phone was incredibly rude. When I told him I've been waiting for an hour and 20 minutes he accused me of lying and I had only called 10 minutes ago. After telling him again what I needed he said it would take another hour and would cost a minimum of 125 dollars. what a ripoff. rude, unreliable and expensive. don't call them.

Awful. 145 dollars to get the keys out of my car. Breaking the window would have cost $200, and I wouldn't have had to wait for an hour and half for the repair man to show up. Break the window guys, break the window. I don't know how much this should cost, but this was absolutely rediculous.
