The Scene – Low couches, embroidered leather cushions, layered carpets and jewel-toned hanging lamps: This dining room feels a long way from Greenwood. Two spacious dining areas allow for a choice between luxuriant privacy or a prime seat during one of the belly dance shows. The staff is happy to offer as much education as is needed--if Moroccan food is a new experience, don't hesitate to speak up. – – The Food – Order a la carte or have the entire party order the five-course feast-either way, portions are the proper balance between generous and overwhelming. Simple…
Editor's Tips
- Where to Sit:
- The low cushions require a careful balancing act. If knees or backs are a problem, arrange things to sit on the comfortable--and stable--sofas.
- Know Before You Go:
- Moroccan food is typically eaten with the fingers, from shared plates. The staff brings around warm water and towels to help keep diners clean between courses.
- When to Go:
- Belly dancing shows begin between 7:30pm and 8pm on Friday and Saturday nights. Each show lasts about 20 minutes and the dancers may encourage diners to join in.
- What to Drink:
- The medium-bodied Moroccan lager goes well with every course. Lightly sweetened hot mint tea is brought with dessert.
Great Dining Experience

We had a family night out tonight and it was our first time at Kasbah. We chose from the 4 course menu and every item was outstanding. The flavors were rich and exotic. Honestly, I can't say which was my favorite dish because it was all so good and satisfying. The server was helpful and friendly. A favorable and memorable experience had by all. Definitely a place of many returns.
Best Moroccan Food!

I was invited to the Kasbah this weekend with a big group of my friends to celebrate a birthday and everyone had a great time! The place was packed with other large parties and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. We ordered a few drinks and enjoyed our courses with two of my favorite entrees, Mrouzia and the Hen with Lemon. They were magnificent choices and the whole group enjoyed them. Along with the great meal we watched the Belly Dancer and some of us joined her as well. It was a night filled with laughter, memories and a great meal!!!
Loved it!!!

My first time eating here was in a large group with my family! It was a fantastic experience. The BEST part was the lamb. My whole family was in love with their lamb, especially the Lamb Bastilla. You've gotta try it if you eat here!! It's a must eat. The flavors and spices are so rich. And while enjoying that we watched the Belly Dancer, the kids loved it! After that our entrees came and the Lamb dishes, both savory and sweet, were to die for! Even the vegetarian dishes were delicious! Including the Veggie Bastille. To end the meal we drank hot mint tea with almond cookies that melt in your mouth! This was a great experience for the family and we will be going again.
great place for Lamb Lovers

My dinner companion and I LOVE lamb and we are always in search of tasty lamb preparations. We were not disappointed! The T'Faya Tagine was amazing! It is
Simmered Lamb in ginger and caramelized onion with cinnamon and raisins garnished with sesame seeds. The Lahm M'hammer is Roasted Lamb in saffron, onion and garlic sauce served with saffron rice and it was also excellent. A bit overpriced perhaps, but we would go back again. Our host was delightful and very knowledgeable of the cuisine.
Food bathed in tomato sauce
by liveguru at Citysearch
This was my first time, and both of us were sorely disappointed by the service and food. Since we went on a week night, we didn't see the belly dancing. Given the reviews, we were rather surprised. Both of our dishes were bathed in tomato sauce. There was so much tomato sauce that my wife had heart burn for the next several days. Service was slow.
For claiming to be authentic Moroccan food, it didn't have the rich exotic spices I was expecting. The lamb was nice and tender though. The 5 course meal was an insult. The salad platter was acidic. The dessert was a joke: jasmine tea (even though it was advertised in the menu as mint tea) and cookies for $10! I love Moroccan mint tea, and to be served jasmine tea was to take me for a fool. I've visited Morocco, and the food is an insult to their culture. The price tag is a rip-off to customers!
