Awesome beer line up and good soups. It has been nice to watch Brouwers grow. The service is better and the food is much more consistant and has improved a great deal. The beer always has and always will be the best selection in town. Prices are a little high, but you are in a really nice fremont bar, you should expect it.

I can't say enough about the beer. Fantastic selection of Belgian ales as well as some very good Northwest Micros with everything else in between. This is the real deal. If you like beer you must check it out.

Good choice for food and beer. I have been to Brouwers twice, and while the food is very good, my experience is that service quality is a bit inconsistent. On my first visit, we had an excellent server who patiently educated us regarding the fabulous cheese plate and numerous beers. Though Im really not a beer person, I enjoyed trying the unique Chocolate Stout, one of over 150 ales. I returned to Brouwers last weekend, and whereas the service was friendly, our server was MIA for much of our meal. After waiting an extended time with empty water glasses and plates, we finally flagged down another employee to assist us in getting our check. The meal was quite good, though, with several in our party enjoying the panko-breaded halibut. I personally partook in the excellent mussels and frites, a must for shellfish-lovers. As Ive said, Brouwers is a beer place, as evidenced by their very abbreviated wine list. The most inexpensive glass was still $9, a bit much for average Chardonnay in my opinion. Kudos to the beautiful interior, with high ceilings and plenty of dark wood.

An industrial feel pervades this stylish beer hall located on an unobtrusive Fremont street--exposed steel bars, wood-lined walls and hanging pictures and old beer signs all contribute to the new/old atmosphere inside. Big wooden booths line a wall downstairs; upstairs, early birds snag the balcony tables. Beer connoisseurs should sit at the bar to learn gems of knowledge about European ales from the knowledgeable bartenders. Service is polite but often harried.

Enjoyed the beer. A group of us went for lunch and had great service. The waiter was knowledgeable and friendly and even recommended things based on questions we asked. As to the price of beers, they were right there on the beer menu so we had no surprises. I am willing to pay for a good Belgian beer, especially when it is on draught. Which all good Belgians will tell you is the best way to drink it!

Horrible Service, too expensive.... I've frequented many places in the Fremont area and never have I had such horrible and negligent service. It took almost twenty minutes to get a glass of wine, when we asked for water, it never came--we asked a fellow server, it never came--then when she brought our food out we asked again and she snottily replied, "i heard you the first time." The sorry service is not worth your time, especially if you're going to pay $10 for a glass of beer and no less than $14 for a glass of wine. Portions of what we ordered, never came out, the servers ignored us and didn't do anything to compensate for the missed items on the meal. Definitely NOT recommended.

Unique but damn expensive. Very cool atmosphere, excellent layout, even has a room with a fire and a beer library. They have a billion local and international beers on tap. Here is my complaint: in total my tab had six beers, two of which were local and served in a pint glass and my price (including tip) $50. Wow. Watch out for the pricey beers. I would never have had that much had I know the price. But it is well worth going, the staff is great and there is no cover, of course watch out for the outrageous line!

Mmmmmm... Beer.... The impressive beer selection is only one of the reasons I come here. The others are the food, the staff and the atmosphere.

If you come fo dinner, you're in for a treat. The menu includes richly delicious dishes such as steamed mussels and gruyere-filled croque monsieurs as well as light salads and sides. The fries (with chipotle mayo) are darned good too.

The staff is friendly and very knowledgable about the beer. Last time I was there, the waiter reccomended the Kwak (which was mighty tasty), served in a oddly shaped classed that required a wooden holder with a handle to drink. Classy!

It's a great place for small to medium sized groups to enjoy good food, good beer and good company.
