In Short
The beautifully decorated lobby with its rich 1930s influence sets the Art Deco tone of the rest of this popular North End hotel. The 158 guest rooms live up to the lobby's pace: sleek, stylized furniture, modern Hopper-esque wall paintings and splashy bed patterns contribute to the feeling. Rooms on the higher floors have sweeping panoramic views of Seattle. Amenities include free Wi-Fi and a complimentary continental breakfast.

Granted, the layout of the room was fairly standard. Nothing exciting. But, the decor of the room overcame the layout. It felt like a luxury room (and, for the price, I admit I expected that). But, despite being downtown, the room was quiet and restful. The location is great. Walking to the UW campus was easy. Walking to Husky Stadium wasn't as easy, but it was pleasant. Just leave in plenty of time for the game. We really didn't take advantage of all the hotel had to offer, but it was a relaxing oasis in a busy weekend and the staff were incredibly nice and accomodating. I didn't even worry about my car out in the parking lot... we just walked everywhere and it was fine. The lobby with its huge fireplace was a great gathering place and we didn't feel rushed to get out of there. I highly recommend this place.
Pros: Style and Romance
Cons: Room was smallish

So this was my first experience with a hotel, (rather than a motel). My boyfriend and I are both college students, but we saved up and decided to splurge a little bit on a nice weekend to Seattle. And I must say I was very pleased with our experience! Everyone who worked there was incredibly friendly, one of the gentlemen who ran the front desk recommended a fantastic Italian restaurant and even offered the call set up dinner reservations for us. The breakfast was very good, I was kind of worried about what kind of selection they would have, but they had a large variety of food: fruit, coffee, cereal, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, muffins, bagels, juice, and the list goes on! The shuttle was also very nice all we had to do was call from downtown Seattle and they came and got us! The hotel also has great location. Right next to the lobby is a Tully's coffee shop, (try the smoothies, they're the best!). There are numerous banks all within walking distance and tons of places to eat! There's also a little hole in the wall theatre across the street.
Pros: Free parking, shuttle, flat screen TVs, great breakfast, location, great staff
Cons: The only thing that springs to mind was the mattress in the room was a little on the firm side, but that's sort of a non-issue when you consider all the perks!
