In Short – Seattle doesn't have much good barbecue, but it does have Jones. Smoky meats are smothered Texas-style in tangy sauce that's so tasty, you'll be sopping it up with hunks of white bread. Tender brisket, ribs, chicken and sausage paired with a side of crisp, slightly sweet slaw, creamy potato salad and baked beans--it's a delicious feast. Cool things off with a slice of sweet potato pie or refreshing lemon cake.

Editor's Tips

Know Before You Go:
The sauce comes in three choices: mild, mixed (medium) and hot. Word to the wise: When they say hot, they mean it.

Good consistant BBQ

by PatBoone at Citysearch

This is a great neighborhood eatery. The food is consistantly good. The sauce is spicy and the service is quick.

The staff can be a bit pushy as far as closing the dinnig room to assure there is no one finishing a meal when they close.

The customer service could use a little improvment but I still rate it as one of the best bbq places in town.

BBQ Restaurant

by Sunnycabo , Citysearch Contributor at Citysearch

I came here for a party, and not sure if it was just because they are not good at serving large groups or if they are just not very good in general. The party was planned and reservations made a month in adavance & we all had to put our food orders in 2 weeks a head of time. So the restaurant did know what all of us (maybe 20 people) were ordering & it was a limited menu. So you'd think they would have been prepared. But it took them over 2 hours to get us out of there and we were all in a hurry to leave.

Mey, not impressed with the food. And like I said the service was slow.

The location is not bad. And it's set up nicely. They made it look real nice of a BBQ restaurant.

My favorite so far

by critic206 at Citysearch

I enjoy the flavors of the South and Jones BBQ has excellent ribs. I have tried the other meats but this one stands out. The ribs should be ordered with the sauce on the side. The meat was not fall off the bone which meant it was done right. Fall off the bone usually means it started in an oven covered in foil or even worst --boiled. Makes me mad just thinking about people ruining good meat like that. Greens were slightly on the salty side, overall tasty ribs makes me happy as can be.
