Italian for "my place," this affordable Mount Baker pizzeria has a comfortable, neighborhood feel.. The Scene
This is the latest offering from Chow Foods, the folks behind neighborhood eateries such as the 5 Spot and Coastal Kitchen. Children, parents and joggers fill Mioposto's small, airy space during early dinner hours; after they leave, the lights turn low and a mellow, older crowd steals the scene. Seating is either at family-sized tables or at the counter, where diners watch chefs toss pizza dough and operate the wood-fired oven.

The Food
Like other Chow Foods restaurants, this one revolves around a central theme--everything is baked in a central wood-fired oven. Authentic, inventive pizzas are the stars of the menu, including one with rounds of roasted potato, caramelized onions, fontina, parmesan and red pepper flakes. Sandwiches, like the version with a toasty blend of mushrooms, roasted red pepper and goat cheese, come on the restaurant's special "Angel's Bread." Dessert is a satisfying rendition of strawberry shortcake.
