Desperately seeking single-mom-with-3-kids-by-2-daddies.
If you are a recent Gene Juarez graduate, Rent-A-Center salesman, or a single-mom-with-3-kids-by-2-daddies, desperately seeking a 40-something "Just For Men" spokesman then Twist is your spot.
I was pressured into making the mistake known as Twist a few times. I've promised myself I will never hang out here again, but I will say this - Twist is THE BEST place in Belltown take a late-night poop.
Seriously, nobody hangs out here anymore, so if the mood strikes while you are out on the town it's a primo spot to mount some abandoned porcelain, bear down, and let some Taco del Mar loose.
Twist isn't for me, but if you're a fake-ID-less, 19 year-old girl, home from college for the summer, lacking anything better to do and desperate to get DP'd by an over-tanned d-bag suffocated in all-things Nordstrom, and his roided-out, passive-aggressive, Affliction-wearing, Persian bro; then come on down. Rest assured that Chad, Mohammed, and you will have plenty to talk about as all three of you will be from Bothell but pretend it's Kirkland.
If you're planning on drinking, be sure to bring daddy's credit card. The $16 dollars I spent for a Grey Goose (Monarch) + Red Bull (Monster) drinks might be hard to finance on your babysitting salary. Not to mention the 20+ minute wait for the over-saturated drink (with no limes, olives, or lemons - so don't bother asking).
*Note: You will be greeted at the door by 'Lurch.' He is arguably one of the most laughable humans on earth. Lately he's been working on bringing turtlenecks + suit jackets back. So baller. He likes to pretend to have once been an athlete, so it's cool.
If you're going to make this kind of blunder in nightlife management just go to Amber.…
A Favorite Belltown Destination.
Twist is an upscale Belltown lounge without pretension.
It covers both casual and downtown chic with two bars separated by restaurant seating in the center "walkway."
The front bar has a laid-back feel and offers a street view, while the back bar hosts plush booths, private rooms, and a giant disco pig.
They offer happy hour seven days a week, and a late night menu as well.
Twist brings in a Seattle chic crowd and is the perfect spot for a night out with a group or to bring out of town guests to check out the scene.…
Beauties galore. There are some hottie's that work and partronize this spot, and I love the happy hour. A little crowded on weekends, but after-work is great
worst server ever!!!!.
Worst service ever!!!
My husband and I went into Twist for the first time and at first it looked like it was going to be a nice evening. Wrong! We were the only diners in there and it appeared they were setting up for a party later in the evening. After about five minutes or so our lovely server brought water to the table and said "do you want something to drink?" At this point we were a little put off by her lack of any form of personality. She then went to fold her napkins and finally when she was done with her sidework she came to take our order. No smile or expression on her face. That's fine to hate your job but for crying out loud, your in the SERVICE industry. Both my husband and I are in the industry and I could never imagine acting like that to someone I was waiting on.
Our server took our order and I told her we would like to have the salad and share it and THEN have our entrees. After a while the hostess brought our entrees and said the salad would be right out. I told her not to worry about the salad we wanted it before the entree. As a server your job is to inquire which order they would like there food if your unsure. Meanwhile, the other staff was setting up the party and scraping chairs across the floor and moving tables and not even caring that there were people dining a few feet away. I gave the staff many chances to smile when we made eye contact but nothing came of that. We might as well have been a piece of furniture or something.
After the dinner we got sick of waiting and went to the front desk to pay. The hostess asked us if everything was okay and I told her that the service was the worst ever. our server came to us with the bill and said in a very snotty tone "sorry, I got like five tables in a row!"
Needless to say we will NEVER be back.
It's not that hard to be nice to people even if you did get sat five table's in a row. And for the record she was snotty and unattentive before she got slammed.…
Belltown's Best Happy Hour. I recently saw an ad for Twist proclaiming that they had "Belltown's Best Happy Hour" and being the curious sort as well as one who enjoys a good Happy Hour I decided to check it out. I had been to Twist many times before but always late at night on weekends when it is mostly just a bar scene so I decided to go there early on a weeknight to check out the Happy Hour with some work buddies. I went there on Wednesday night around 6pm and sat down in the hallway area with 3 other people. Once we looked at the menu we thought it looked very promising and we ordered several things to share and we were very pleased with what came out to the table. First off let me start with the drinks - they have $5 Belvedere Vodka drinks! That is my favorite Vodka so I was very happy with that and the drinks were regular size and not some special Happy Hour beverages. Beer and Wine are also on there for $2.50, and I think it was Hornitos Tequila for $5 as well. We got our food and everything was very tasty. We had ordered the Jalapeno wontons, the Szechuan green beans (delicious - who knew vegetables could taste so good), a couple of $5 hamburgers (full size with fries), some potstickers, Ahi Tuna, a quesadilla, the steak and chicken skewers, and a few more things that I can't recall. All in all everything was really good, and our server was quite attentive and friendly as well. Damn, I probably sound like an ad for Twist right now, but I would have to say that for once there is truth in advertising, Twist truly does have, "Belltown's Best Happy Hour"!…
