In Short – Two bars with personality, divided by a dining area and fountain wall, make this the place to see and be seen for young professionals on a night on the town. Up front has a sports bar vibe, while the back boasts a sweeping view of the Sound, a disco-ball pig statue and assorted seating nooks. The house infuses its own vodkas with flavors like blueberry and pineapple, creating an interesting specialty cocktail list.
Beauties galore

There are some hottie's that work and partronize this spot, and I love the happy hour. A little crowded on weekends, but after-work is great

worst server ever!!!!

Worst service ever!!!
My husband and I went into Twist for the first time and at first it looked like it was going to be a nice evening. Wrong! We were the only diners in there and it appeared they were setting up for a party later in the evening. After about five minutes or so our lovely server brought water to the table and said "do you want something to drink?" At this point we were a little put off by her lack of any form of personality. She then went to fold her napkins and finally when she was done with her sidework she came to take our order. No smile or expression on her face. That's fine to hate your job but for crying out loud, your in the SERVICE industry. Both my husband and I are in the industry and I could never imagine acting like that to someone I was waiting on.
Our server took our order and I told her we would like to have the salad and share it and THEN have our entrees. After a while the hostess brought our entrees and said the salad would be right out. I told her not to worry about the salad we wanted it before the entree. As a server your job is to inquire which order they would like there food if your unsure. Meanwhile, the other staff was setting up the party and scraping chairs across the floor and moving tables and not even caring that there were people dining a few feet away. I gave the staff many chances to smile when we made eye contact but nothing came of that. We might as well have been a piece of furniture or something.
After the dinner we got sick of waiting and went to the front desk to pay. The hostess asked us if everything was okay and I told her that the service was the worst ever. our server came to us with the bill and said in a very snotty tone "sorry, I got like five tables in a row!"
Needless to say we will NEVER be back.
It's not that hard to be nice to people even if you did get sat five table's in a row. And for the record she was snotty and unattentive before she got slammed.

Belltown's Best Happy Hour
by dbl8710 at Citysearch
I recently saw an ad for Twist proclaiming that they had "Belltown's Best Happy Hour" and being the curious sort as well as one who enjoys a good Happy Hour I decided to check it out. I had been to Twist many times before but always late at night on weekends when it is mostly just a bar scene so I decided to go there early on a weeknight to check out the Happy Hour with some work buddies. I went there on Wednesday night around 6pm and sat down in the hallway area with 3 other people. Once we looked at the menu we thought it looked very promising and we ordered several things to share and we were very pleased with what came out to the table. First off let me start with the drinks - they have $5 Belvedere Vodka drinks! That is my favorite Vodka so I was very happy with that and the drinks were regular size and not some special Happy Hour beverages. Beer and Wine are also on there for $2.50, and I think it was Hornitos Tequila for $5 as well. We got our food and everything was very tasty. We had ordered the Jalapeno wontons, the Szechuan green beans (delicious - who knew vegetables could taste so good), a couple of $5 hamburgers (full size with fries), some potstickers, Ahi Tuna, a quesadilla, the steak and chicken skewers, and a few more things that I can't recall. All in all everything was really good, and our server was quite attentive and friendly as well. Damn, I probably sound like an ad for Twist right now, but I would have to say that for once there is truth in advertising, Twist truly does have, "Belltown's Best Happy Hour"!
- Pros: Great Happy Hour!
Not what we expected
by Ducich at Citysearch
It was our first time going to Twist. We made reservations on Opentable. From the outside, it looks like it could be a cool place. First impression when walking through the door was cheap. The website makes it look like a much nicer place than it is. The hostesses were nice and acknowledged our request for a view table. Walking down the hall towards dining room the water feature along the wall was cool as was disco pig above the bar. There was a great view looking out the windows towards Elliot Bay, until you get to the table at the window and your are right above the freeway, and say "oh, nice view of the freeway". After being seated, again my impression of the place was cheap. The linens, tables and chairs were something you would see in a banquet hall at the local FOE club. Our server was nice when taking our drink order. I wanted to order some infused vodka as mentioned in the Citysearch Editorial review. The server informed us that they haven't had that for over a year. Citysearch needs to update it's editorial review. After a brief discussion with the group we decided to leave. Twist just wasn't what we were looking for. We wanted to have dinner at a nice restaurant and Twist just isn't that nice. It seems like a good place to go for cocktails and appetizers with a group. Just not a place for a nice dinner. Can't comment on the food as we bailed. I would probably go back under different circumstances.
- Pros: good for large groups
- Cons: "cheap" decor and furnishings
Great evening with friends!

After reading the mixed reviews here, I was a little nervous to go to Twist. But I really needed a reserved table situation for about 11 friends, many of whom haven't seen each other in a few years, so it was a little reunion. There was a $25 reservation fee, which was fine; the table had a great view of the lake and the disco pig, and it was in the back section away from the more crowded corridor area. We had many drinks and desserts, and everything was great! The Velvet Underground Chocolate Cake and Ice Cream Sundae were fabulous. The doorman, hostess, and waitress were all friendly, professional, and did their job well. The bathrooms were clean. We were there 9:30pm-12:30am on a Sat night, and the ambience was perfect for what we needed. Fun music, cool crowd, good vibes, and not so loud that we couldn't talk and hang out. That's what a "lounge" should be! I'd definitely return.
- Pros: Reservations not too $$$$; tasty dessert; fun ambience.
- Cons: ?
