Here's what The Stranger's brilliant Bethany Jean Clement has to say about Liberty, "Liberty is clearly the place on 15th Avenue and on the Hill in general to get a top-drawer cocktail: All juices are pressed from fresh fruit on demand (and, on Tuesday night, by an assortment of four handsome, personable barmen). The walls are pumpkin colored, the decor is spare and nice-but-not-too-nice, the bar is made from one contiguous slab of red oak, the wine rack is super cool, and the sushi is tasty."
She's a genius, that Bethany. We take great care to make sure that every drink that we make is perfect, and we take that care very seriously. We specialize in 'pre-prohibition cocktails', and that means that every drink is made with fresh juice as you order it and made with great ingredient.
Oh, and the sushi? It's fresh, artful and tasty 'till late every night.

In Short
The denizens of Capitol Hill, always on the prowl for a new nightspot, have discovered this cozy lounge. Low-slung leather couches and classy bar tables set a swanky mood, but hipsters need not fear--the comfortable space feels like a dressed-up living room. Drinks-wise, the focus is on cocktails made with fresh-squeezed juices; no prepackaged mixes for this friendly bartender. The menu is all sushi, which proves to be an inspired bar snack.

I went here for happy hour and had the best greyhound of my life. Some friends had a couple of different absinthes, which were ok, but I really am not a huge fan anyway. Cool spot, filled with some cool indie kids. That part of it wasn't really my scene, but everyone was really mellow and loving the cocktails...

This was one of the worst service experience I had in a long time. It took about 10 minutes for us to even order our drinks. We asked for water while we waited for our drinks and we didn't get that until we went up to the bar to ask for water again. We ordered sushi and it took 1 whole hour for us to get our food. The sushi was nothing special. It tasted like average sushi buffet sushi (yuck). The server didn't ask us if we wanted more drinks until we were done with our food. Seriously one of the worst experience ever.
