a great date night. We hang on Monday nights for the happy hour. The service is great. We have been in twice in the last month and Geoffrey remembered our favorite foods and drinks. The service is good, the food is wonderful and I like the lighting and fireplace. A great date night.

Wonderful atmosphere and Thai food. This restaurant is lovely and has a great menu. The dishes always have a colorful array of fresh vegetables. Great with a group so you can try lots of dishes and not bad for a less expensive date night. The bar is nice too.

BEST Thai in the neighborhood! Very friendly service!. My husband and I eat a lot of Thai food and this is our new favorite place in the neighborhood. We went for the first time this last Friday for dinner. Super friendly, attentive service. Felt like fine dining, at a Thai restaurant! We ordered the pork lettuce cups to start (spicy!), the Pad See Eww and Bai Pai noodles, everything was perfect, hot and had tons of flavor! I also had the Green Tea Martini, yummy and different. We would highly recommend Bai Pai the next time you are in Ravenna!

Best Thai anywhere near Ravenna. We get a take out from here at least once a month. It has yet to let us down. We've been up and down the menu and generally find their food to be rich and appetizing. $10 gets you a decent sized main course. The only fault I found was the yellow curry - it's a bit too sweet. Regardless, it's by far the best Thai anywhere near Ravenna. Do it.

Nice ambiance, bad food & service. This place is popular, but I'm not sure why. The ambiance is nice, but the food is NOT authentic, and the service is very spotty on the best days.

Amazing!. Bai Pai is one of our favorite restaurants in Seattle. We go at least once a week, and always have fabulous service and food. The reviews talking about bad service must have really been on there on an "off" night, because the staff is friendly and welcoming.

I am Thai-American, and grew up with authentic Thai cooking... and I can say that this is the closest I've had to tasting like home. My favorite appetizer is the Larb, a spicy ground pork dish with crispy curried rice, peanuts, and cold iceberg lettuce. Love the yellow curry (comes with homemade chutney), the sauteed eggplant has so much flavor, and the Bai Pai noodles (similar to Pad-see-ewe) are definitely worth trying.

Beware, the spice scale is a little on the low side. So just order up a few stars. Other than that, this place is great, with a really nice happy hour as well.

And P.S. Whoever said to go to the Royal Palm: The owner of Bai Pai is the previous owner/starter of that restaurant. Bai Pai is much better, though!

Worth another chance...maybe not on a Sunday. We live in the neighborhood and were looking forward to discovering a local place for Thai food. When we first walked in the door were forced to stand without being acknowledged by the front desk, even though there were waitstaff and someone behind the counter (a simple 'I'll be with you in a minute' would have sufficed).

We ordered the Golden Shrimp, Fresh Garden Roll (quite nice) and the pork larb for starters. The larb arrived late and not as advertized (the 'lettuce cups' had us believing we'd be able to eat it with our hands; the lettuce turned out to be giant iceberg lettuce leaves which made a 'bowl' underneath the larb). The coconut chicken soup was served by the cup or bowl; our waitress was unable to give guidance as to whether a bowl would serve the family or if we should get cups. The 'cup' at $6 turned out to be a bowl sized portion, too much for any of us to eat as part of a meal; next time we'll try the bowl for the table. The broth was nice in the soup, but variable sized pieces of lemongrass and mushrooms with a distinct 'off' taste took away from the experience.

For entrees we had the walnut shrimp (quite nice, the shrimp was perfectly cooked), Panang Beef Curry (lots of coconut, not enough curry flavor), and the disaster of the night, Crispy Duck. The duck arrived on a sizzle platter with great fanfare, but the meat turned out to be tepid, tough and full of fat. I love duck, love to cook duck, and will never order this duck again. When asked how we liked our dinner I complained (to two different waitstaff) but neither had the kitchen check on it or offered to replace it with something else.

The atmosphere feels crowded, with one too many four tops in the main dining area (we felt like we were sitting in the service alley); billing a restaurant as 'fine dining' and then not creating that type of experience while still charging 'fine dining' prices for mediocre Thai Food means we probably won't be back.

Horrible service, rude employees, and small portions. Ok, I can understand if a restaurant is busy... but if your kitchen and/or staff can?t handle the rush... then a. hire more staff or b. stop seating people... We just waited 45 min for a table and an additional 45 min for our food. When our food arrived, guess what, no appetizers. So, we informed the waitress, who proceeded to shrug her shoulders and said "oh, let me see about that", no sorry, no nothing (and no, her English was not the issue) and NEVER RETURNED.... So, we ate our entrees thinking that we would eventually get our appetizers, but NO.... we never saw another member of the wait staff until we were finished and another waiter came over and basically, when we told him of our problems said "Oh, sorry about that, let me get the check?. HERE IS A HINT- NOT THE APPROPRIATE response...offer a free meal, a free dish, a dessert, something. ANYTHING?.I was appalled to find that when we actually got the check, our appetizers were still listed on our order and we were charged for them.. So, I went to the counter to point it out and our original waitress who NEVER RETURNED didn?t even acknowledge me. So, needless to say, her tip was zero. I should mention that the food was fine, but I do not think that morally I can return to a place where the service is THAT BAD... Possibly the WORST I have ever experienced, and I eat out a lot. And to make matters worse, we left hungry and really crabby. I can?t believe we blew a weekend night on this place. We will never return. And I should mention that when we were seated, the people next to us were having a similar problem with their meal... at least they got a free dessert from the nice maitre d? lady. We got nothing and were EXTREMELY polite considering what we experienced. Save yourself the headache and head to Royal Palm on 65th NE and Roosevelt instead. The food is better there anyway.

Very nice.. High quality ingredients in tasty combinations. Several dishes include fresh veggies, which are not overcooked, and seasoned very nicely. Delicious, light, and flavorful! Go ahead, try it!

Great Atmosphere and Unique Thai Food. Bai Pai is on my corner so I was very curious to see what it was all about. My first visit was to the warm and inviting bar. I had the name sake noodles and was very impressed with the many flavors.

I'm very pleased to have them on my corner and look forward to bringing friends and guests for a Thai treat.
