Wine tasting is fun and hip here!

With their no-nonense and easy-going approach, these guys have made learning about wine fun. For the Maple Leaf locals, Thursday night wine tastings are often referred to as the "new church" - neighbors mix and mingle regularly each week. The energy is high and the music is always great. This is how wine was meant to be enjoyed.

What's Not to Love About Maple Leaf Cellar?!

I discovered this charming "speak-easy" wine shop by accident when I was taking my dog for a walk. And what a great discovery it was! Around the back of the building, a small staircase leads to a basement... a wine cellar that is like a diamond shining in the rough. The selection is perfect, not overwhelming. The owners are young, fun, energetic, and helpful - without being pushy or snobby. They helped me to find a great value bottle ($8!) that I absolutely loved. Then I learned that there are weekly wine tastings every Thursday night! I returned the following Thursday to find not only a neighborhood gathering, but an all-out party. I will return again and again and will tell all of my friends about this cool place. It is about time someone made wine shops fun and approachable! My dog is even welcome to come to tastings too!
