Thai One On is the Bomb Dot Com. Thai One On is one of our favorite places for any meal, once a week; sometimes more... Working in Lake City and living only a few miles therefrom allows us to visit Thai One On regularly. We take family and friends and they fall in love as much as we have.

Appetizer: crispy crab won tons - so good. Also this warm chile and steak salad, with this great vinegar dressing - to die for!!

Entrees - Phad Thai and Pineapple Curry!! Who woulda thunk it??? Thai Iced tea is a favorite.

Employees are great; always friendly. Food is always hot and full of flavor.

Keep up the great work!

Pretty Good Food, Way Overpriced - They nickel and dime you. This restaurant definitely has a wide range of pros and cons. The pros include good food - though the cooking can be hit or miss. Half the time your food will come out burnt. It really depends on the cook in the kitchen for that day. The staff is cordial but not friendly. I don't think I've ever seen any server ever smile there. The problem with the food is that it's extremely overpriced --and they charge you for extra anything. I've never known a thai restaurant to charge for limes with pad thai, but they do. Want a little extra peanut sauce? $2.00. It's pretty ridiculous. The list goes on and on. It's a good neighborhood joint but not worth the trip if you live far away. I will say that their crab rangoons are delicious, as is their pad see ew (when it's not burnt). They have good Thai iced tea and coffee, but they fill the glass up to the brim with ice, so in the end, you get more ice than your actual drink. Their red curry is par to none and very tasty - but half the time they forget to add half the ingredients that are supposed to go in it. It's definitely a toss-up based on the day whether you're experience will be a good one or a negative one.

Look mate! If you were said the owner was so rude. So do you! Maybe it wasn't they don't want to do business with American. Maybe It was just YOU. You think you own this states huh? I'm an American as much as you do. If you have such attitudes, you are not better than them. I sympathize with people who make the judgment . If I were the owner , I'd never want you to come back neither. I'd better go feed the elephant than cook the bloody food for you.

Good Thai food , good value. We have dined their many times now and enjoyed it each trip.

Fridays can be very busy with take out orders but we have experienced friendly service. I like the way the staff ask how spicy you care for your order each time. The full bar is a plus.

Is it worth a drive across town in rush hour? Probably not.

However, if you are in the area it's worth a stop.

Thai One On is neat and clean with nice decor for a neighborhood eatery.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! RUDE SERVER!. i was a repeat customer until last night, when a server was very very RUDE to me and my family. She was rude beyond belief! As a food lover I eat out 3x a week and went all over the world for culinary experiences, and believe it or not last night on Thai One On I had the worst time in a restaurant ever. This server was very rude and ignored us for a long time only because we sat without her seating us first! ( my brother had seated himself before couple times and it was ok )and the restaurant was half empty when we got there. If she told us nicely we would be understand but she told us rudely with a sour face and tried to blame us for the lack of service, like the menu, plates, fork/spoon, water and dirty table. She blamed us twice, first when we tried to order the food and second when we tried to ask her nicely to wipe off our table since she was done cleaning the table next to us. In the end, I tried to tell her that she was being rude but instead she told me that if i have any complain to write a letter to her boss and snobbishly asked me if I want her full name. She didn't even admit that what she did was wrong. For this server, whose name Jang, Thank you for ruining our night, you have too much ego and you shouldn't be a server in a restaurant. I would never come back again and I won't recommend any of my friends and colleagues to come to this restaurant. There are a lot of other good Thai restaurants around with a better service and friendlier staff and better food!

Expensive and Americanized. Avoid this place unless you want to "thai on" a healthy regret of having spent money here. The food is pretty much generic Americanized slop that ends up tasting the same no matter what you order, a common pitfall of Thai cuisine in this country. We ordered a couple of rice paper-wrapped spring rolls and the imbeciles at this restaurant wrapped them to go so tightly in saran-wrap that it was not possible to retrieve them in one piece.

I love this place!. This is my favorite Thai restaurant for in house, take-out and delivery. The food is consistently great, I highly recommend the all the curry dishes, all the seafood (especially Chu chi pla), the veggies are always fresh, lively and delectable. I've returned here often, I am always greeted cheerfully, recognized, and treated like a valued customer. At times the wait staff is on the youthful, possibly less experienced side, but they are always very sweet ? just be kind. They always get my take-out and delivery orders right (never open the box to a surprise). I?m hooked!

A family friendly escape in Lake City serves up some of the best Thai food in town.. The Scene
Despite its unfortunate name, this colorful Thai spot is definitely worth a trip to north Seattle. The dining room is bright and boisterous, painted in swirled, Thai-inspired designs in teal and gold, and filled to capacity nearly every night with neighborhood families and plenty of children. Servers are friendly and extremely helpful; though orders can be confused on busy weekend nights, the staff is always quick to right their mistakes.

The Food
In a town full of homogenous Thai restaurants, this one stands out from the pack. Pad thai, the benchmark dish at many restaurants, has a nice balance of spice and harmonious flavors--simply put, it's a knockout. Another classic item, swimming Rama, another classic, comes topped with a not-too-sweet house-made peanut sauce and plenty of sauteed spinach to soak it up. For dessert, don't miss the understated mango and sweet sticky rice combo; a perfect antidote to a spicy meal.

Hits: The large portions and low prices keep the cost-to-person ratio low.

Misses: The dining room can become extremely loud with all the kids; this isn't a place to have a quiet conversation over dinner.

WORST SERVICE EVER!. The waitress was rude from the minute we walked in. she doesnt smile, she doesn't respond to you when you say thank you, and rushes you while you are trying to decide on what to order. Food is too americanized and pricey. Serving was small. We sat there for 15 mins for our checks while staring at all the workers as they chatted away. She threw tossed the check on our table. It was our first and last time there. Never was treated that bad ever.
