My negative experience is with management, not the staff or service that I've received. MATTHEA was the sales manager that I dealt with for over a month who was not honest with me and when I wanted a refund on an unused pre-paid service of $500. It's been over a month and after calling her over and over for over (half the time she was available), I still have not received a refund up to this day. When I was able to reach her, she would give me excuse after excuse on the status of the refund and then would blame others without having any integrity of following through on her word.

Folks, something financially dysfunctional is happening at the back end of the company and I just want to warn anyone who spends money here to be very cautious. Red flags go up when it takes a business over a month and still not refund you.

If this happens to you, call your bank and the Better Business Bureau as I did.

If the situation with MATTHEA didn't happen, I would actually give this place 4 stars because of the front desk service and the aesthetician who was really helpful and nice.

Love these guys. Just purchased their groupon for laser hair removal for my legs. This is my third groupon with Aura. They are very consistent and caring.  I tried a couple of other medical spas with groupon before and neither compares to them. I guess that's a part of the reason they were voted Best of 2012.  Tash

least painful laser hair remvoal!! Brand new equipment. I recently started my Bikini laser hair remvoal sessions again, because of some incompetent technicians i had seen at other clinics! I had 4 treatments elsewhere and all with minimal results. Aura Laser Skin Care was referred by my friend who sees the medical esthetician there. I decided to go and see what they have to offer. I felt very comfortabel the clinic is immaculate. The medical esthetician is very knowledgeable, with 18 years experience in clinical skin care. I wasn't aware that all lasers are not created the same and old vs new makes a huge diff in the results??? I have had two sessions with great success and their prices are unbeatable. I am very happy with my results and am now cosidering booking a Botox and a day of spa and beauty with my girlfriends!!

I had an unpleasant experience with this place when I purchased a groupon. When I was there for my 4th visit, the tech and I were the only ones in the place, and she was confused about the area being treated. Then when we cleared that up, she said she couldn't do the area that had been being treated THREE times before or she would be fired. She was already running 20 minutes behind, and I had to get back to work, so I left. I emailed the manager, who said that her employee told her that I had "thrown things and threatened her" and I was not allowed to come back. ?? This is a bizarre place. I'm sure the fact that I was a groupon customer caused this. They SAVED money if they gave a reason to ban me. BEWARE.

I received a gift card for $200 for Christmas from my aunt who has been going to Aura Laser for months. I applied the card towards a package of laser hair removal for my chin area. I already had my first treatment there and there is nothing negative to be said about this place. It is very clean and tidy. The staff is professional, and the tech was good and knew her stuff. As far as the treatment is was virtually painless. It is too early to comment about the outcome of my hair removal treatment since I just started. My aunt however did her legs and she is very satisfied with the results. I recommend this place to everyone looking for professional laser hair removal. Lynn

This place is by far the most unprofessional skin care salon I have ever been too! The manager Katy is an absolute hot mess and poor excuse for the title of manager. When I complained of the absolute crap customer service, she ripped up my apt. card and told me she has reserved the right to refuse service to me. I still have three already paid for lasers left. It is to bad because Dr Garcia is a great guy but I'm certain Katy will run this place into the ground. Who you choose to employ makes all the difference in the world. It was truly a blessing in the end. I really dreaded the days I had an apt. I always felt like I'd rather stick needles in my eyes than to deal with them and the energy that filled the place!

I’ve been to a number of spa’s in the Seattle and east side areas, but none that compare to Aura Laser Skin Care in a variety of ways. I just purchased the groupon they have for the 3 ipl and 3 microderms. I first started going to them back in december of last year and have been ever since. Their facility is very clean and staff is professional and capable. They also care about their clients and do not rush through the treatments or force a sale. One particular example that comes to mind is the fotofacial treatment, which I had last year helped my skin tremendously. The sun spots on my face were reduced and bacame hardly noticeable and my skin looked and felt younger.

In addition, it’s important to me to not only trust the spa staff who perform the treatments, but to feel very comfortable in my surroundings. The technicians at Aura not only put your mind at ease, but they also go to great lengths in answering all of your questions and concerns. They are very knowledeable and they share that knowledge with the customer. The spa is a very welcoming place very clean, tidy and nicely decorated.

Dr. Garcia, their medical director, is always available on site to answer any questions or address any concerns I have. He spent a great deal of time with me on my first visit, offering expert knowledge on everything offered at his spa. Further, he’s a very pleasant man that has your best interest at heart. He and his staff are proactive, inasmuch as they share necessary information with you and ensure your understanding, with regard to your treatments and services. I personally felt the spa made me, the client, a top priority and I, without reservation, give Aura Laser Skin Care an A+ rating for their customer service and outcome.

This is the 3rd laser hair removal groupon I am purchasing with Aura Laser Skin Care. The first one I did my legs, and second my face and arm pitts. While purchasing today's Groupon I read the negative review by Kelley C. and felt the urge to defend these guys. Not sure what experience Kelley had but suffice it to say that my experience with Aura was nothing but pleasant from being greeted by the receptionist to being treated by the techs. The hair on my legs and face is almost gone that I am now purchasing 8 treatments for my Bikini area. Just wanted to comment on my experience with Aura.

Wow...saw this on Groupon a thought my wife would like. Started researching and it appears to be a scam. If you look at the reviews, noboby has reviewed much other than Aura Laser and Harrington Moving (in NJ...strange so many reviewers of Aura have moved from NJ. Almost defies the odds....). Needless to say, I decided against the Groupon. I have absolutely no personal experience with them, but a little research made me want to stay far, far away.

Just went to InsiderPages and found the same exact situation. Most reviewers only review Aura (and again completely defying the odds, Harrington Moving in NJ. How can a person have a local move in NJ and at the same time have several treatments in Bothell????). Long story short...decide for yourself, but they are manipulating their review ratings....
