The Scene – From relaxing leather armchairs to the curvy banquettes, the seating is comfortable and intimate. Subtle colors and patterns feel trendy without stealing the focus from the food and companionship, while upscale touches of glass art and color-changing walls make for a modern downtown vibe. The staff has a way of disappearing--bring patience, or provide them with advance notice if there's a specific dinner deadline. – – The Food – Tiny "urban bites" are sized to supply a very light snack--the biscuits heaped with tender pulled pork are the most substantial…
Not so great

Went back the other night and the place was too pretentious
- Pros: Nice drinks
- Cons: Pretentious, Eurotrash vibe
Had a horrible experience

My wife and I had brunch there late in the morning on Sunday, May 31. The restaurant wasn't crowded, and it took longer than it should have before a waiter came to our table. To make things worse, it was about 20 minutes after we placed our order before we got the food! I had the corned beef and sweet potato hash. Although it was tasty, it was light on the corned beef.
- Pros: convenient for Hotel 1000 guests
- Cons: service, price, pretty much everything
Good food, but inconsistent service
by ajanmd at Citysearch
I love BOKA. The food on happy hour is unbeatable, and even at regular price its still not out there compared to other similar restaurants. The burger is delicious, and the atmosphere is as close to perfect as you can get in that area. You don't even feel like you are at a hotel bar at all.
What I don't like is the service sometimes. Usually I am greeted with smiles as I make my way to the bar. The bartenders and cocktailers are friendly, professional, but not overbearing. They are always willing to go out of there way to make sure the experience is perfect. I've even seen a bartender go into the kitchen to find ingredients to make drinks for guests that aren't even on the menu. So imagine my disappointment when I was in on a quiet Sunday, and was waited on my a bartender who made me feel as though my very presence inconvenienced her. There was no above and beyond, and not even a concern for my empty glass. I guess I've just learned not to go in on a Sunday.
- Pros: Food, cocktails, happy hour, ambiance
- Cons: Inconsistencies in service
