The sleek lobby exudes urban elegance from moment guests arrive through the revolving glass doors, featuring contrasting patterns and textures, a see-through glass staircase and bamboo installation by glass artist J.P. Canlis. Guests can mingle in the ground-floor Studio lounge, with its oval fireplace and espresso and wine service, or head upstairs to the quiet Library for relaxation. Downstairs offers a 24-hour fitness center and the Golf Club, a virtual reality golf experience that can accommodate up to four people on each of its two "courses."

We stayed here for a quick trip up from Portland. And now we will never stay anywhere else in Seattle! The rooms are large and luxurious, the bathrooms are sleek and modern which is exactly what we prefer to the"average" hotel. Perfect location to all things downtown, 2 blocks from the Metropolitan Grill, which is one of the reasons we go to Seattle :) and also Pikes, Seattle Art Museum. We ordered room service the following morning, which was decent, but probably would have had a better breakfast if we went out. I believe we stayed on the 9th floor, which had a pretty decent view, nothing spectacular by any means. We also tried the Boka Bar in the hotel, had lunch, no drinks, but the ambiance matched the modern hotel. Customer service was to be expected, they did let us leave our bags before we checked in and were prompt in getting things we needed. They have valet parking, we looked around for a parking garage but didn't have much luck. (We might have given up too soon...) The rates are comparable to other hotels in the area and in comparison this hotel is by far one of the nicest in Seattle.

We stayed at Hotel 1000 for our wedding night before heading out on our Honeymoon. The accomadations were incredible. The rooms were clean and luxurious- beds a bit uncomfortable but worth it for the view and bathtubs (the water comes out of the ceiling!). That being said, the service was impersonal, rushed and lacking in every aspect. We tried to leave our bags early (around 3) for early check in and were told we couldn't be accomadated. We had to leave our bags in the limo and then unload after the wedding- talk about a romance killer! I wrote a letter to the hotel thanking them for the bottle of wine and card, while also sharing my criticism at the lack of service. Rather than trying to regain us as a customer they replied thanking us for the business and asking us to return. I won't be doing so and wouldn't recommend until I know that the service has improved. I'd take a boutique hotel with great rooms and personal service over a large hotel with great rooms and VERY impersonal service anyday- especially my WEDDING NIGHT! Good luck with them.
Pros: Incredible rooms and view!
Cons: service impersonal and rushed, beds uncomfortable
