Power specializes in major color work and large-scale hair transformations, though a bevy of stylists are on hand to help with any hair needs. I recently moved to Seattle from Portland and after a few months (and a few Great Clips trims) I realized it was time to find a salon. I had been going to the same salon in Portland for years so I was a little anxious about finding a new one. After reading reviews of Lisa Power Salon on Citysearch and Yelp, I decided to try it out. I am happy to report that I have found a place I will keep coming back to. Corina helped me update my look with bangs and the day before I left for Mexico she gave me the most amazingly subtle and perfect highlights. At my first visit, I loved how she took the time to just sit down with me and talk about what I wanted to achieve with my hair. She's super cool and really listens! Plus, I trust her to tell me if she doesn't think a hairstyle or color will look good on me. The overall vibe of the salon is very relaxed and unpretentious. Everyone who works there seems to really enjoy it, which makes it a fun place to go. They sell hair products but I have never felt pressured to buy anything. I have found the prices for cuts/color are reasonable. Since going, I have recommended Corina at LPS to a friend with crazy curly hair, and I swear her haircut makes me want to have curly hair! So cute. All in all, I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a hair salon they will want to keep coming back to (forever!). Ask for Corina!
Pros: Ambience, customer service, tea, good magazines
Cons: Parking (sometimes)

I have been seeing Sarah for over a year now and get compliments everywhere I go on my hair color. Sadly gone are the days when I played with my color for fun, now it is a serious cover up job with the entire gray coming in. Sarah suggested red and my first thought was that I would look ridiculous, not saucy enough for that transition. I am here to tell you that not only do I carry it off, women and MEN literally compliment me several times a week! We have had fun experimenting with different shades and my new look has definitely given me a confidence boost. I appreciate Sarah's sense of humor and her unique style and personality. I trust her suggestions and feel like she truly wants to make me look my very best. We discuss fashion and she has helped me feel more comfortable with fashion choices and accessories that I thought looked great on others, but just weren't me. It's amazing the transformation that has taken place and as another poster commented, there are other things I am cutting back on but my salon visits are not one of them. Keep on rockin' Sarah, you are the real deal! The rest of the staff is very friendly and Tami makes a kick a$$ latte!
Pros: scalp massage, fun, upbeat atmosphere
Cons: parking, but now they have a couple of reserved spots
