Yeah... it was okay. I have eaten ate Maggiano's a handful of times. Twice with a large group of people and the other was just myself along with a friend. The positive was that the food was consistant all three times, it also had a fresher taste than Olive Garden. But it always had the American- Italian taste to each dish, this is definately not the true Italian cooking that I would expect at a place called Maggiano's.
Great Food, Poor Service. We had a party of 12 for my birthday dinner and they have you do a family style feast. The food was delicious, but the drinks were flat and the server was terrible. He argued with us about the drinks, I had to ask for serving spoons -twice- (for a family style buffet you'd think that would be standard), and he never did bring us teaspoons for our dessert. Since it was a large party he got a gracious 18% tip from everyone (automatically added to the bills). Looking back I wish I had talked to a manager, but it was my bday and I didn't want to deal with it!
Slow service ruins food. Saturday night in the bar area, we ordered one drink and food immediately with our waiter. An hour later we realize we are still waiting for our food and may be late for our next event. Food finally arrives and we have no time to eat. We ask the waiter to give us the bill as soon as the food arrives, but that takes 10 minutes and the waiter disappears. We gulp down our flat bread and salad and get up to go find the waiter so we can pay. Finally, an hour and half later we get out of there. Gulping down your food and chasing a waiter is not a dining experience. Waste of money and time.
Great Staff and Great food. The staff here is amazing. We went to this restaurant a few times and the actually remembered us by name! The manager has always been very accomodating and they take reservations which is a plus on busy weekends. The food is so good and you get a lot of it for the price. I recommend the Chicken Parmesian and the Toasted Nona's Pound Cake.
Decent Food. A little overpricesd. So, the restaurant is nice and clean, the waiters and waitresses polite. The service is good and the food, well... it's not Italy (been there, done that). The real deal is always going to be way better. This is decent Americanized Italian food. Could be better priced thought.
EY, i've had WAY better italian food ....
Setting was before closing..not busy AT ALL.... I split my meal with my date, some Fettuccine Alfredo with mushrooms and broccoli ... and sounds great, right?! uhhg it was basically noodles in a cream sauce with vegetables thrown in.
Wouldn't go there again.
Great for families with boys. They love Italian and they have great salads for me ...Oh nice wine =)
Awesome with Large Parties. My son's favorite restaurant is Maggianos. He fell in love with it when we ate at it in Denver a few years ago. So after his graduation ceremony (Auburn Mountainview HS) we trekked from Auburn to Bellevue. Our two servers, Isaac and Chris, were phenomenal. We had a party of 14, with one boy allergic to dairy and my Dad who couldn't eat gluten. The chefs came to our table to make sure that all dietary needs were met (to the ultimate YUMs of my Dad and smiles from Jacob :-) I was wanting an appetizer that Sean and I had ordered in Denver and loved, yet didn't see on the menu. One of the chefs arrived to have me describe it, then she went and created something AWESOME with fried gnocchi’s and a cheese dip!!! Chris and Isaac were very attentive throughout our stay. Sean's dad knocked a wine glass to the floor while talking with his hands and he felt no embarrassment as it was swept up around him (he was standing at the end of the table :-) My friend Carl, who loves cooking, was given a tour of the kitchen! He is still talking about how cool it was. Our youngest family members were listened to carefully, photos were taken for us of the entire party, and humor, kindness and professionalism were present in all interactions. The food was wonderful, but the service made the meal a truly memorable experience.
Overrated, Overpriced.
Why have people told me impressive things about this place? I had to come back a second time to make sure I wasn't imagining things.
I will say that the ambience is very nice. But the food is blah. I've had the family style, appetizers and a couple of other doo-dads. It's not terrible food by any means.... it's decent. But overpriced and overrated- you're paying for the ambience.
Food Heaven!. Wait was long, but we called ahead. Table was ready early waitress Christy was fun, personable, and beautiful. Oh and the food... the Chicken Fracesa was to die for... it was in a delightful lemon butter sauce that was perfectly paired with arugula in a white balsamic dressing and red skin potatoes. It was such perfection we extended our compliments to the chef... Shortly the sous chef Alex appeared at our table and suggested a remarkable cheese cake made from riccotta and marscapone with a fresh strawberry sauce... I mean dinner was heaven. I rarely clear a plate, but this was a sin to waste. I was a first time customer and now I am a lifetime one. I will be back... ASAP... Fabulous Fabulous Fabulous!
