Billiards tables and house-brewed pints rock this South Lake Union hangout..
In Short
Outfitted with plush leather sofas, low-hanging lamps and 10 pool tables, this classic billiards hall on Lake Union caters to 20- and 30-something young professionals seeking to
revisit their college days. An on-site microbrewery, displayed at the end of the bar, provides a selection of house pints with pool-themed names like Rack 'Em Red and Bank Shot Bitter. The menu features an assortment of thin-crust pizzas, perfect with a beer.…
Best-kept Secret On South Lake Union!!!. Wow! I went to a party here several weeks ago and it was awesome! I didn't even know this place was here, but I guess they've been open for a year or so. They have a good selection of tasty microbrews made right there in house. I liked the Pale Ale, but the heffeweis was also pretty good. Their food offerings were unexpectedly good, with the ribs and calamari being the standouts in my opinion. Except for our group, there weren't that many other people, which is weird because I would think this place would be busier. Our cocktail waitress was perky, and the service was decent. The only downside was the parking--very limited--and the construction going on around there didn't help. The VIP room we were in was cool-- comfy couches and a private patio although we spilled out onto the main floor and got a couple more tables. I'm definitely going to be back.…
Great for Parties!. We just hosted a party for 65+ people at Stix. It was a huge success! All of the staff was amazing & very flexible. Joel & Beth especially offered standout service. The venue itself is a contemporary, yet relaxed atmosphere & the private Gold Room was the perfect addition to our party space. We were even able to view our slideshow on their large flat screen in the Gold Room, that was cool. The only so-so part of the evening was the food we chose for the appetizers; quesadillas (too fishy), crab cakes (too bready). Chris suggested the short rips, but unfortunately I didn't follow his suggestion. Everybody else seemed pleased w/the food though & lots of compliments on the ahi crustinis. We researched a lot of other venues, including The Parlor & The Garage. By far, Stix was the easiest to work with & had the most reasonable prices (although the low end liquor for well drinks could have been part of the reason :). We couldn't be happier with how the event turned out! I'd definitely recommend Stix for a party or just to hang out, eat some food & shoot some pool. Great location overlooking Lake Union, the marinas & views of the space needle too.…
Great combo of favorites. I was visiting Seattle with some friends, looking for something to do. I got lucky and found this place. From the moment you walk in you're struck with the combination of smooth and fun atmosphere. The food is awesome, the people are fun and the beer is terrific. Get there early, and grab one of the corner tables with the ridiculously comfortable furniture to hang out in between shots. It is really a cool take!…
A nice relief to the Lake Union community. I've been into the Lake Union scene for awhile now ( I live close, so you know), but have grown tired of my usual rotation of bars. I was very uplifted to come across Stix on my route from Joey's to Blu Water. A warm glowing atmosphere and the obvious view of downtown Seattle was the first to grab my attention. It's smaller than other billiard halls I've been to but cosy never the less. I was warmly greeted and imediately felt comfortable, safe and important (which is hard to find sometimes). The food and drinks were good (I timed it right too, great happy hour) but the best part was their beer. Right inside the building is their very own microbrewery (it's like if you were an avid coffee drinker you would import a columbian, right?), and they are all uniquely tasty. I am now a "regular" and don't mind the lable at all. Whether you're on a date, out with friends or looking for some alone time check out Stix.…
