Seattle >O'Asian Kitchen
Great Happy Hour, Free Parking. Went here for some pu pu's and drinks at happy hour. Really enjoyed the soju drink I had, and tried a mojito that was tasty. Food was decently priced for happy hour downtown, and the place is huge.
O'asian. Worst restaurant I ever went bad service would never come back
Not a customer service establishment!. The service is crazy SLOW and BAD! A friend and I went to have dinner New Year's Eve and found the restaurant had a fixed price dinner for $65 per PERSON! Too Much Food and $$$ for us, so we chose the bar for Happy Hour. It was only 5:45PM and there were only five other customers in the bar. After sitting down, our waitress came by with bar menus and reminded us that we only had antil 7PM for Happy Hour prices. We immediatley ordered a cocktail and a soda. Five minutes later our waitress brings us ice water (huh?). Another ten minutes go by while we watch our waitress fold napkins and the bartender chat-up a couple of guys at the bar. Apparently our drinks were being flown in from China. With no drinks in sight and our wait already too long... we left. I will never go back and I will tell everyone I know to avoid this place.
Amazing Dessert at a surprising location???. I work at the BOA building and last week I needed a cake for a surprised birthday party. I remember a friend told me that O'Asian downstairs started serving dessert. So, I gave it a try. Sure enough they have a few already made cakes to choose from. I picked Hazelnut chocolate mosse cake and all my friends totally love it
Worst Food I Have Had In Years.
I am new to the Seattle area and in the mood for some Asian cuisine. Yelp ratings show this place as pretty dismal but CitySearch had several good reviews, so we gave it a try. This is a Friday night of a holiday weekend, so I was worried it might be hard to get a table. We found parking easily and walked up to what was a pretty classy place.
First thing we noticed was that the place was essentially empty--we thought we had come after they closed. We were seated next to the only other people in the place out of the 40+ tables they had. We ordered the lettuce wrap, General Taos chicken, Mongolian beef and the Chow Mein. All pretty standard dishes that even Panda Express would have a hard time getting wrong.
The lettuce wrap tipped us off to what we were in for. It was incredibly bland and even drenched in sauce didnt have much taste, but they didnt give us enough sauce anyways so the last two had none at all. Awful. Quickly after that came out came the chicken. It looked appealing on a bed of broccoli, but ended up incredibly bland. It was clearly cooked long ago and reheated which led it to be mushy. The broccoli was cold as well. Quickly after this disaster was placed in front of us came the Mongolian beef. This was the only item that tasted semi-decent, but I am not sure if that was just after having such awful other food. It was spicy as well which may have been masking things. At least we finished more than half of this plate.
This is when the chow mein came out, which caused me to start laughing. With no exaggeration at all, the chow mein had the texture of UNCOOKED Top Ramen. I asked her if it was some sort of joke as it was completely inedible, but she said to mix the sauce in to soften it. It wasnt even worth sending back, as I wasnt interested in getting another plate of it. We ended up taking it all home, and throwing away the chow mein immediately.
This place was a total waste of money and the worst meal in years and I will never return.
Great lunch idea for hungry people!!!. My friend and I was shopping in downtown area and was super hungry for a quick bit to eat. Then, the sales at Nordstorm suggested dim sum at O'Asian, both my friend and I never went there before and we both thought dim sum...can it be quick and good? We were both really surprised. Immediately after we sat down, we were greeted by the dim-sum-cart full of steaming hot food. The food was excellent and we were in and out in 30 mins. I highly recommend O'Asian for anyone who never have dim sum before and want to rethink quick lunch?!
Good food, horrible parking!. I went to eat there for an afternoon lunch with my friend. The inside is really nice, this is a good place to have a group get together. I got seated in the booths its very comfortable! The waiters were pretty attentive, around noonish the carts start to slow down, I would suggest to get as much as you can earlier because there will most likely be a wait because it is crowded during dimsum hour. Great food and tea and service. I would go back again.
I LOVE THIS PLACE EVERYTIME.. I have gone here with large parties on several occasions and had a wonderful time. The dining area is very large but still warm and friendly. Service has been great everytime as well. Although, I have a lot of compassion for our hospitality workers so I may overlook some of the minor flaws. The food is always wonderful, the drinks are put together well and served by a smiling staff. Highly recommend this place for friends and families.
customer service is not on the menu. The customer service is horrible! I work with the public and if I were to treat my clients the same way I wouldn't have any. I went there for an event and the hostess basically played dumb and had no information me. The bartender was extremely rude and would have rather chat with his buddy than make drinks and the coat check man threatened to not give our coats back because we didn't have a ticket which he didn't give us in the first place. Now why would anyone ever go to a place that obviously doesnt think they need your business.
NOT SO HAPPY HOUR.. If I had to rate my discontent with this establishment, O'Asian would receive a perfect rating. I am oddly surprised at the amount of bad reviews with emphasis being on service, though I shouldn't be. At first glance, expectations are high. Having being surrounded by the chaos of Seattle the restaurant manages to tuck itself away and hide from the rest of the world to create a calming ambiance. Looks are indisputably deceiving. My first experience will be my last and I will continue to encourage people to spend their money elsewhere. The staff is the eptiome of incompetence and was not at the least helpful or mindful toward their customers. The bartenders are apparently unaware how to train their new employess how to charge properly, address concerns, or ask for assistance when needed. Our waitress, Heather, will be brought up in conversation time and again as the worst thing to be associated with customer service. She was unattentive, rude, and constantly disappearing for most of the night. I especially enjoyed my birthday dinner as Heather made it her sole purpose to imply that my party was a nuisance to her. "You're ****ing killing me," was her response when we asked for our check to be split. To our dismay, after her unsavoring display she still was under the impression that she deserved a tip. Classy. We, as consumers, should be paid to eat there.
