Sundy Happy Hour!. I'll tell you, it may be hidden up the escalators of the Bank of America building, but it's totally worth it once found. Dim sum is great, but has gotten busier and busier since i started coming. The best part, though, is the happy hour. On Sundays all the appetizers are only 2.50. You really can't beat it. The atmosphere is open and sheik and the bartender is super friendly. I can't believe more people aren't there. It's free parking on the weekends and they validate after 5:30 during the week. My favorite is the sesame beef and the lettuce wrap!
Great steam chicken, tasty kobe beef, lovely chow mein, but.... I went to our company dinner @ o'asian last thurs.Honestly,since it was paid by our company,I have no idea about the price for the dishes.Surprisely,I like the food,from a chinese point of view.I was very impressive about the plain steam chicken.very soft &very tasty, it is the only restaurant in seattle that makes the steam chicken in the "right" way!(I have been to Seattle for seven years only.).Kobe beef is a plus.its unbelivable soft&tast just right. Another good dish is chow mein. They use some kind of Shanghai noodle and stir fry it with soy sauce.its not oily/too soft but has a little bit chewy feeling. Im not very good at explaining since I speak "Chinglish", ha!. Wow, I didn't have the chance to tast other fusion dishes, all we had are traditional chinese dishes(our CEO,directors,and manager are all Chinese),so I would not known if they taste good /not, but I will recommanded the steam chicken, kobe beef and the chow mein without the price concerning. They are the three best dishes out of others that we had at that night.Quick comment on the service, um, not too bad.Since we came as a big group(around 30 ppl), it is not very easy for the servers to change the plates for us and noticed whose cup was running out of water/I think,as a professional server, he/she should not pass the wine glass unless you have the wine on hand &I would not think it is appropriate to pour two different bottle of wine in one wine glass(the waitress first brought out a bottle with a little big wine left&pour it into one glass,then ran back to get another new bottle of red wine and pour a little bit more into the same wine glass).Cuz who knows how long that "bottom bottle wine" had been sat there? Well, it just my little opinion, all I can say is, it is very hard to train the chinese server to be professional server unless they have been to the formal traning class.(look at those professional server in Hong Kong, New York upscale restaurant), ha! I am such a picky person.
avoid set course dinner. Gave a birthdy dinner for a friend and the food was not very good. I have never been served fried rice with salmon. It was suppose to be unusual. You bet it was. The shark fin soup was a pumpkin thing that had very little shark fin and I really thought it was clear rice noodles being substituted. Unique and innovative? Not for what they charged. Very expensive. No thanks. Good luck to them.
Pretty Space, Good Dim Sum, Slow Service. The rennovation of the space is beautiful and it doesn't feel like a steak house anymore. The design is modern & comfortable. Dim Sum is good. THe carts come around frequently. However, the service for items off the dim sum cart and beverages is very slow. We went the whole meal without the cocktail we ordered whne we first sat down.
Mediocre dim sum.
I went to this restaurant in the first month it opened for dim sum. It was over-priced and mediocre. I commented on one of the dishes tasting unusual to the waitress. Her reply after she talked to the kitchen staff was the special seafood that was added that no one else uses. Well my thought is that they used a cheap substitute ingredient.
When they opened their web-site made a claim "the best dim sum in Seattle" How can that be when they just opened and their are no references to the food critic that made that statement. I e-mailed the web-site for comment back then however there was no reply.
I noticed that their web-site still makes that claim and now their are some reviews of how great this place is. What are these reviews based upon? Great dim sum is found in Vancouver Canada. O'asian does not come close.
I went there again to see if things have changed. No, it is still mediocre. The ambience is nice however I want good Chinese food. My comparison would be that of Hong Kong's restaurants. This is another P.F. Chang style restaurant with a fancy ambience trying to attract upscale diners however only serving mediocre "chinese" food.

The price of the dim Sum there is cheaper than Top Gun.
I feel that the price is wonderful in this luxury place.
Best Happy Hour in Seattle.
The food is very good but is is the fact that the currnetly run happy hour from 4 PM to close, 7 days a week in the bar that makes this place briliant.
It is the best happy hour in town--- $5 huge plates, $3 on all beers plus more drink specials. They have had trouble filling the huge restaurant but it is worth going simply to sit in the bar. A buddy and I got nice and stuffed the other day on the $5 apps and each had 3 beers or $20-something dollars a piece. Good value.
Avoid Overpriced Dinner Fare. Not recommended for dinner. None of the three meals we ordered were worth the money: papaya salad (too much fish sauce), strawberry sweet-and-sour (decent but not remarkable given the price) and hand-shaved noodles (a fusion attempt that failed to produce flavor). Drinks were good, but a bit pricey. Ambience and service were both impressive, which unfortunately made our food all the more disappointing. Go and grab a drink, but avoid the overpriced dinner fare.
Great place for dim sum. tasty tasty eats at o'asian! the service was quick, the food was hot and fresh! we had bbq pork buns, chinese broccoli, honey walnut prawns--- it was great. out of the nine dishes we had, the only thing i was unimpressed with was the chow mein. my friend had the tapioca pudding that was a little dry. the only downside for me was that the bathroom needed tending to: wet countertops & paper towels on the floor. i was happy w/ the food and the prices. will go back again soon for yummy dim sum!
Over priced and awful!. The only semi ediable were the potstickers and bbq pork. If it wasen't for those we surely would have starved. Even the drinks were weak and three times over priced. The honey walnut prawns tasted like fried shrimp topped with miracle whip.The only recommendation I have given anyone about O Asian is do not waste your money. I was really excited to go there and boy it was a huge dissapointment. I guess next year we will spend our anniversary somewhere we know is excellent.
