My husband took me to Olive You for my birthday, thinking we could get a quick bite before a show. No such luck! After being told to seat ourselves, our waitress brought menus to the table without so much as a "Hi". We ordered drinks, which ended up sitting on the bar while the waitress sat behind the counter eating a snack. We ordered an appetizer of baba ghanouj and it arrived with a pile of cold pita bread (menu said it would be grilled). While waiting for our meal, both my husband and I visited the restroom, which is a shared facility with one or two other businesses in the same building. My husband reported that the men's room was dirty and disgusting AND the toilet seat fell off. The women's room had no toilet paper. After we returned to the table, we waited and waited and waited for our meal. The waitress left our empty appetizer plate on the table. We also noticed during this time that there was a large puddle of water forming in the middle of the restaurant floor. A customer had to alert the staff of the situation. That waiter then brought out a dirty bucket and mop, which he ended up leaving in the middle of the floor as the puddle continued to grow. After about 30 minutes from the time we ordered, my husband told the waitress we were on our way to a show and asked how much longer the entrees would be. She asked the chef, who was just on the other side of the counter from our table. He told her it would be 10 more minutes. He had not even started cooking our food! He then tried to get us to order something else that wouldn't take quite as long. We told the waitress that we would have to cancel our order and left hungry. At that point we heard the chef yell, "Cancel the chicken souvlaki," in an irritated tone. Needless to say, we will not go back! We recommend you bypass Olive You and head a little further south to Gorgeous George's for great service and excellent Mediterranean cuisine.

I love the food at Olive You. It's flavorful and well-seasoned, not over the top with gratuitous spices. I have pretty much had the tapas items each time and have loved all of them. I see complaints about the service in other reviews, but we've been there twice and service has been just fine. We'll definitely be back for more tasty food!
Pros: big, tasty appetizers (we get two or three for two people to make a meal), free parking.
