Editorial Review for Olive You – by Jill Lightner

In Short
With a menu that moves from burgers and fries to a fantastic range of imported olives, this deli aims to please every possible appetite. Utilizing a mix of fresh local produce and Mediterranean flavoring ingredients, the treats include strong espresso, an artichoke sampler plate, hearty kebabs and Turkish sausages. Regular wine tastings, cooking classes and live music-not to mention heaps of free samples from the deli cases-supply an unending list of reasons to stop by.

A group of us girls went there for a birthday celebration on a Saturday /We called ahead and our table was ready when we arrived. It was busy and noisy, fine for us semi-rowdy group of 40+ women. The belly dancer was entertaining and spent alot of time dancing on top of our table. The food came at a normal pace and was quite tasty. The wine was enjoyable as well. Parking was no problem, we found on street parking a block away. I would probably go back if i lived closer to the restaurant, but id still recommend it for a fun enjoyable evening.

Pros: Casual, good food.

Cons: busy, noisy. atmosphere is so-so

My husband and I managed a rare evening away from our toddler. We headed to a Olive You wanting to stay close to home. It claims to be open late and serve dinner until closing. Upon entering we were told that they were not cooking anymore tonight, about an hour before closing, and that we could have something out of the display cases. Everything in the cases looked picked over and old. We said no thanks and headed over to Romio's and had lovely dinner, hot and served late. We love Romios! We tried ordering take out from Olive You and the order was wrong and missing key ingredients. I would avoid this restaurant. Rencently they moved their tables out over the entire sidewalk so their is no place to walk past their restaurant.

Pros: None come to mind

Cons: Service or lack therof, bad food, lazy staff
