First Thursday Gallery Walk Editorial Review

In Short
Local artists display a multitude of hand-crafted artifacts while more upscale galleries open their doors to showcase fine art exhibitions. Independent artists from across the state set up stands in the neighborhood's own Occidental Park, while art-aficionados and rookies alike peruse the booths and galleries in search of unique finds and art-related conversation. Most galleries feature nibbles of cheese and small pours of wine to accompany the art-viewing experience.

Insider Tips

Know Before You Go

Outside vending runs from noon to 8pm, while participating galleries begin the festivities at 6pm and close up shop somewhere between 8pm and 9pm.

Parking

With the large amount of business operations in Pioneer Square and the high infiltration of other art lovers, plan on some difficulty finding a spot. The easiest way is to opt for one of the pay lots which are scattered all over the area.
