The Finance guy was the problem

by pakalolo168 at Citysearch

I bought an Altima from them several years ago. My experience went well all the way until I met the frickin finance guy. When you first meet him, he's all nice and smiles. Then he start pressuring you to tack on all the extra options. I didn't give him to his stupid pressure and I told him straight up "no" to everything and before he could try sell me the next option. His demeanor changed from friendly to being the biggest jack ass I've ever encountered. You can see the instant change in his expression. I'm glad I didn't purchase anything from this two-face cow.

Because of my experience with him, I am NEVER buying NOR recommending anyone to purchase a car from that dealership.

Don't Buy from Eastside Nissan @ Bellevue

by Schmedlap at Citysearch

I had a similar experience to Lopaka in that I got the car I wanted, but had to deal with a disreputable sales staff and a high pressure finance guy. The finance guy was all smiles and slime while giving me his schpiel, but as soon as I declined, his demeanor changed and he couldn't get me out of his office fast enough. Had I bought everything he offered, the additional cost, over the length of my loan, would have been over $7,500!!! That's for warranty, paint protection, and a clear plastic coating over the front of the car. Sales staff basically told me that they wouldn't deal on the car because ". . .if I didn't buy it, someone else would." Sticker showed add-ons for dealer markup and dealer installed options, but sales staff couldn't even tell me what the options were. Sales staff were snooty and wouldn't offered any deals, compensation, or anything. Afterwards, the junior sales person tried to make amends saying that he would throw in a $12 keychain.

When I showed salesman a copy of the CarsDirect pricing, he said, "We don't deal with them and won't even try to match that price." The salesman told me that the type of car I bought was flying off of the lot and the car I wanted wouldn't be there long. After the sale, I found that the Eastside Nissan had bought the car in from another dealership and that it had been on the lot for several months. As I said, I got the car I wanted, but not at a deal and felt I needed a bath after contending with the sales staff. I wouldn't recommend Eastside Nissan in Bellevue (Washington) to anyone and wouldn't bother writing a letter of complaint to the sales manager and they simply don't care.

Do not trust any verbal commitment by sales staff.

by Lopaka at Citysearch

I recently purchased a 2009 Nissan Xterra online from Nissan of the Eastside at Bellevue, WA. The purchase experience was not a good one. I live in Honolulu Hawaii and could not find the vehicle I wanted here, so I decided to try purchasing a vehicle from a Nissan North America dealership online.

Assisted by Nissan North America, Inc., Consumer Affairs Dept., I found a dealership in Bellevue Washington with the vehicle I was looking for. After checking their online picture, description and price of the vehicle, I called Nissan of the Eastside and confirmed both availability and price with a salesman and made a down payment with my credit card. A few days later I received the buyer's contract via FedEx, and was dismayed to find the price of the vehicle had been raised $2500. I called and talked to the salesman who said a premium had been added to the vehicle because it was hard to get. However, he said Nissan was offering a $2500 promotional rebate which would offset the premium. Believing the salesman, I signed the contract and returned the paperwork.

Later after paying for the vehicle, I asked when I was going to receive the Nissan rebate. Now the salesman said the rebate was all ready factored into the price. Re-reading the contract, a rebate is mentioned but not in any way that clearly indicates (at least not to me) that it was ever applied to the price of the vehicle.

I had several conversations with this salesman in the days prior to payment, who always affirmed that I was going to receive the sticker price of the vehicle, the price we agreed upon the day I made my down payment. However, I ended up being fleeced for $2500, in my opinion.

In another example of dishonesty and deception by Nissan of the Eastside. A person called me from the finance department trying to sell me an extended warranty. He said I had to buy it before putting any miles on the vehicle. The man was very high pressure and not as smooth talking as the car salesman and the price he was asking for the warranty sounded excessive. I declined, but couldn't get him off the phone and finally had to hang up.

Later, I purchased a much better and longer lasting genuine Nissan warranty from another Nissan dealer for almost half the $2500 price this man was asking. I also found out that he was lying about having to purchase the extended warranty before putting any miles on the vehicle. You can purchase the genuine Nissan extended warranty anytime before the original vehicle warranty ends.

I received delivery of the vehicle in Hawaii from Matson Shipping with no other unpleasantness. But I would never do business with this dealership again. I informed the general manager of Nissan of the Eastside in Bellevue, WA of all of this, but never received a response from him.

Ironically, I would have gladly agreed to the inflated price of the Xterra on the first day I spoke to the salesman, because I really wanted this vehicle. However, he agreed to the lesser online advertised sticker price of the vehicle and then later reneged.

Both people I dealt with at Nissan of the Eastside at Bellevue were deceptive and dishonest. I would not recommend doing business with this Nissan dealership.

  • Pros: Vehicle was delivered.
  • Cons: Deceptive and dishonest.
