Love Their Happy Hour. This place has a great happy hour and great food. The experience is unlike any other place I have been to. I have never cooked food at a resturaunt table before.

Bad Experience, Twice. I personally don't like the idea of having to cook your own food at the table, unless its Korean BBQ Shabu Shabu, so I'm not a huge fan of the Melting Pot concept to begin with, but for some reason, people, and visitors to this town especially, love this restaurant. So I have been here twice. And both times, we have received really really crappy service. Like, wait over 15 minutes to be seated, then wait over 15 minutes to get your drink order, then give up on timing how long it takes to bring bread and cheese to the table, and so on and so forth. Seriously, the food is not cooked, right, so what could they possibly be doing back there that takes so long? I mean, I read the other reviews, and I get the idea of having a leisurely dinner, but to me, that is 90 minutes, because I actually have other things to do. Both times I came here, it took well over 2 and a half hours to get out of there, and maybe that is someone else's idea of a good time, but it wasn't for me. Plus, now that I live in Seattle, I like to say things like "I hate chain restaurants, anyway".

Horrific Service. It was the worst dining experience ever. We went to the restaurant, wanting to get a chocolate fondue for tea. What upset us the most is the horrific service of the waiter. While we were waiting for our chocolate fondue to heat up, we wanted to ask our server for some more water. We politely waved at the server and waited. When he came, he didn't say a word, but IMMEDIATELY shut off the hot plate and handed us our check. Obviously, our plate our dessert was full because we haven't even started eating. I cannot understand how he would think that we were done with our meal when the plate of dessert was still full. We told our server that we were not done with our meal and we wanted some more water. He said OK and went to get it, in a quite abrupt and impatient manner, without evening apologizing for shutting off our hot plate and hurrying us to pay the bill. During the entire meal, he did not even care to come by and ask us if everything is OK. The food is OK, but with such unprofessional service, I would definitely not recommend anyone going to this Melting_Pot in Bellevue. If you crave for a meal at the Melting_Pot, go to the one in Seattle instead.

Long wait despite reservation. Unappreciative and unhelpful Maitre D' and manager. Good for drinks and deserts though.. We often go here for the bar, and actually love the drinks and deserts, so we decided to take mom out here for her birthday and finally check out the restaurant. Unfortunately it was a complete disappointment. We were really trying to enjoy the experience as well, but after waiting to be seated for 40 minutes despite our reservation, and another 30 minutes for the waiter to actually take our order, we were simply annoyed. Mind you, this was on a Tuesday - I cannot imagine how bad it would be during the weekends. We were not impressed with the way they handle customer service either; the supervisor was completely unhelpful and nonchalant when we voiced our frustration. Food was Ok once it arrived, but I'd say you're only paying triple digits for the fondue experience itself really, not for the food. And if it takes this long to actually get seated and get to see your waiter, on top of an unappreciative Maitre D' and manager that do not value your business, I'd say they miserably fail on the experience front.

Great dessert!. When my boyfriend and I went here for the first time, we had their three course meal (cheese fondue, main dish fondue, and dessert fondue) plus a salad. The Fiesta Cheese fondue was just "eh" and the main dish wasn't that great either. We were basically cooking our own food, but paying the $20+ that we were paying for it. For dessert, we got the Flaming Turtle (?) fondue and it was DELICIOUS! I was already stuffed after everything else, but I somehow found room to fit dessert in my stomach. I went back a few months after that with some friends and we had their spinach cheese fondue that was pretty good and a plain dark chocolate fondue that was, again, amazing. My recommendation? Come here for the dessert, not the main dish. The cheese fondue is okay, but dessert is much much better :P~. It's a VERY romantic atmosphere, but don't expect to get in and out quickly. This is a great place for dates :).

SO MUCH FUN AND A GREAT PLACE TO GO!. I dont know what the negative people are talking about! I always have so much fun here! It is so interactive and delicious. I agree that if you are in a hurry, don't go. If you like to enjoy a dinner and take your time, it's the best place to go. The dessert is my favorite part! Yin & Yang is the best one. The food and service is always excellent! Don't let the bitter people influence you, they were in a hurry. Relax and enjoy! I love fondue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rip Off. A large group of us went for a special occasion thinking it would be a unique experience.

The "unique experience" turned out to be a super expensive, run-of-the-mill, chain restaurant.

Trust me, you can do MUCH better.

The food made my clothes stink. We went to this restuarant in lower Queen Ann for an office Xmas Dinner back in December and 90% of us were not very impressed and will not be going back. For the price, I did not think the food was very good. Despite the novel idea of cooking your own food...I could get a much better meal for the same price somewhere else. The worst part is that when we got home, I realized all my clothes smelled like beef broth & grease, all the way down to my undergarments. Gross!

Some of the problems are not the restuarant's fault, it was our fault for choosing it. It's not a good place for a big group, if you want to carry on a conversation with anyone besides the two people next to you and the two across the table from you.

The desert was the best part.

Fun experience, Great customer service. Well, to all the people who complained before me about long waits or long dinners. One, this is a small restaurant, if you don't have a reservation, don't expect to be able to walk in on the weekends and have dinner. Two, you cook your own food, therefore you should EXPECT your dinner to take around two hours. Not a restaurant to bring your kids to. But everytime my husband and I go, we always have a wonderful time. This dinner is meant to be an experience, not a rushed affair. Sit back, relax, and enjoy!

Worst restaurant in Bellevue. the whole experience was a nightmare! we made reservation for 7pm and was still waiting by 740pm. the receptionist kept telling us "we are a little bit behind today and it will be another 10-15 min" she said that 3 times to us!! when i asked her if table was ready the 3rd time, she simply refused to say anything to me. 1/2 of the restaurant was empty! they were severely under-staffed and seriously over-booked. finally, we asked for the manager, and he found a table for us within 5 min. then it was another looooong wait for food. by the time we were done, it was close to 10pm! after we left the restaurant, we realized they had forgotten to bring out shrimp!! DON'T go there. food wasn't special. very limited free parking. very unprofessional receptionist. (not very smart, either)
