I wish I could give this place zero
stars. I don't know where these glowing reviews come from, it clearly suggests that they were written by staff.
I don't mind that the place is a little dirty and small. What I do mind is the highly aggressive nature of their staff constantly hounding me into buying their supplements/vitamins/protein shakes.
They offer great monthly specials which is why I checked it out in the first place, but they don't tell you that you have to pay for all the months in the membership all at once, all up front. A previous reviewer said it well - they really "do everything short of holding you hostage to get you to sign a contract." I ended up signing a contract against my better judgement because the gym was so close to my house. I regretted it from day one, and every single time I went to work out, at least once a staff member would interrupt me with sales pitches to buy stuff from them. I always felt like I was inside of some demented infomercial. I was there strictly to exercise, not to be pressured into buying products I don't need or want.
The last time I went in I was actually running on the treadmill with headphones on, concentrating on my workout and some "trainer/salesman" came up and stood beside the machine to me waiting for me to listen to him. I stopped my music and he started with the pitch, "So what vitamins are you taking? Have you heard about ________? We have a special on them right now." He wouldn't take "leave me alone" for an answer and I ended up stopping my workout and leaving very angrily.
I never went back in until today to cancel my membership (which you have to do physically in person - not on the phone - so they can hound you into not quitting, and they will actually demand that you explain to them exactly why you are quitting before they will cancel your membership.
Screw that. Too frustrating to spend your money here. Go anywhere else.
Good riddance!
I've been going to the one in Kent for 3 months now and I love it, the jacuzzi is an added plus, and the price couldnt be better. If you wanna feel great and get fit, this is the place to go. And the staff are very friendly and helpfull.
Great Place!. I mainly joined this gym because I tried out their Zumba class and just fell in love with it! You do have to pay extra for the zumba but it's worth it! I also like the low monthly fee and the fact that you don't have to sign up for a year. The gym has a more intimate setting and I like that their equipment is modern and you can plug in your ipod or tune into the tv screens on the excercise equipment. The staff always seems friendly too!
Will recommend going Elsewhere to Everyone. Fake people, old out of date equipment, and if you work there don't expect to ever get a break or run across a good personality! Thank God I don't work there anymore :)
Quite possibly the best gym I have ever been to!.
For a long time, I had been trying to get back into working out. However, my biggest two issues were the fact that it was costly to get into a gym and that I hated the atmosphere of having nobody who could help me work out. Kent Vision Quest took care of both those issues.
First off, the gym is quite affordable for a college student such as myself, who doesn't have a whole lot of money. Consultants Hayden and Aaron helped me to sign the contract and went on to let me know about the benefits. One of which is that you get 2 free personal training sessions upon first signing up, and then one training session a month thereafter. For the price of the membership, that's pretty dang good!
This leads me to the second reason taken care of: my trainer Robert is quite possibly the most professional trainer I have ever worked with. He puts me through some extremely tough workouts, but that's only because I ask for it (and because I am a mainstay in the gym's Biggest Loser competition). I have seen him with his other clients, and he knows just how far to push them in their workouts.
One last reason: the staff. Every time I step in, I feel welcomed! From the front desk people, to the receptionist for the on-site chiropractor, to the General Manager, Assistant Manager, Fitness Consultants, Fitness Director, and Personal Trainers, all of them know my name and greet me by it! It's apparently gotten to the point where they begin to notice when I am NOT there. When I do come, all of them greet me with enthusiasm, and even come give me a quick high-five or even a hug in some cases. This is the most energetic, friendly, and knowledgeable staff I have had the pleasure of working with!
All things said, this is the best gym I have ever been to. Granted it's a little small, but that's OK with me, because it feels more like family. It is quite a drive from where I live (I live in Issaquah), but it's totally worth it for me, especially when I know the buses I need to take to get there :)
HORRIBLE!. I wish I could give no stars at all. I totally agree with WhitneyMSmith. The place is horrible for multiple reasons. Most of all the horrible service. it might be cheap, but totally not worth it. To top it all off, I fulfilled my contract and cacelled it. I gave 58 days notice (only needed 30), but they wouldn't honor it. So, I paid the extra month; however, that month came and went I I was charged again. Now I am waiting to the manager to call back...which they probably won't...they never do. Lets just say I have the BBB website open and I am ready to make an official complaint. I am a calm, reasonable person, but they have gone too far.
Great Gym. Can't say enough nice things about this gym! I love the classes, they are challenging and unique and the teachers are very very good. The gym itself is clean and well maintained. The staff is freindly and i haven't had any problems with it. Highly reccomend.
Great Trainers. Stephanie is by far the most amazing and professional trainer I have ever met. Shes by is a great motivator and supporter and always knows just how hard to push me. She has never recommended me anything that i didn't need or didn't want. highly highly recommed!!!!!!
WARNING!. The only reason some of you saw good reviews is because they have employees working all day writing reviews for them. The sales team is VERY high pressure and dont care about the members. They dont get new equiptment and they charge a enhancement fee for every membership even child care to make extra money. They skip a lot of parts in the contract and when you call with a billing question youll always get the run around. The supplements they tell you you "NEED", are no better than ones you can buy at costco. The employees are rude and they will hire anyone(no background check required!) They always have a promotion going, but they tell you have to buy today because it expires tomorrow. You DONT! If you try to cancel your membership, they will charge you a cancellation fee and charge for 2 more months because they say thats how long it takes to stop the billing. YEAH RIGHT! All the managers are constantly getting after the employees for not selling enough meberships...its just a horrible atmosphere. Take my advice, DONT SIGN A CONTRACT!
Great Classes. I love this gym! it has such a friendly and happy atmosphere. Everyone is really nice and the classes are great! I love the yoga class. Its a great way for me to wind down and just relax.
