Fun Little Treasure. This past Friday my best friend took me to the Red House in Renton. It was a real treat. While the atmosphere is very homey and quaint, the wine selection was unmatched. I am a vinophile amatuer but I felt like an expert after reading the wine reviews and trying the wine that were being served by the glass. Saviah Merlot was my favorite and I took two bottles home. If you are looking for a serious but not stuffy wine spot, this is a good one.

Amazing .. every time. The Red House is always a delight. The open patio is awesome on a nice day and the food is fresh and tapas style. The best part is the wine is abundant in every price range and more beers then any place I have ever seen. No liquor sadly and sometimes the restaurant is so busy that the just din of the dining parties makes it noisy.. but worth it .. every time!

Best laid-back Friday night date spot. Close to home...far from ordinary!

My husband and I have our regular Friday night dinner here. We pick out our choice of beer from around the world, and choose from the seasonal tapas menu while our beer cools. Our server is also laid-back and friendly, but not overly so. Our food arrives promptly and is always tasty, never overbearing, and just enough! We always order about 4 items off of the list, and it is plenty to leave us satisfied...especially with the hearty German beers.

Summer is a GREAT time to eat here as the patio is perfectly relaxing with music and eclectic decor. Inside, the tables feel like home, and even though sometimes very crowded, you feel as if you're all enjoying the same dinner party.

Exceptional!. I recently moved to Wisconsin and ever since have greatly missed this spot, hands down the best place in the puget sound for any get together. I was very ill on one particular lunch occassion and the staff treated me like one of their own, bringing me tea and soup. The menu continually changes but I must say the chicken marsala was excellent and I wish they would bring it back for good. Continually met my parents here for dinner and everytime it was like being at home but without any of us having to cook or clean, we usually ended up staying into the night even after we had finished out meal. Located right by the dinner train, check it out you will not be dissatisfied.

Best Food in Puget Sound, Make reservations on weekends. Best Restaurant in Puget Sound, far outshines other restaurants in downtown Seattle location. Awesome ambiance in old craftsman house in downtown Renton. Make sure to leave room for dessert or you might miss out. Also, if you want to try a beer or wine, you can just go and pick it off the shelf and hand it to a waiter or waitress to chill for you while you decide what to have for dinner. Try the Sherry Garlic Roasted Mushrooms, a little piece of heaven on a little oval plate.

Not just Beer & Wine - great Italian food too!. For those of you who loved Gene's original restaurant, Gene's Restorante, you will be happy to know that Gene is continuing his GREAT Italian food at his new venture, Red House Beer & Wine. Although the sign outside says Tappas, they also have a full Italian menu. The ambience in this older house with multi-floor and room seating is great, the selection of beers & wines unbelievable, great food (but you'd expect nothing less from Gene), and decent pricing.
