Bad Coffee, Bad Cupcakes. My sister and I each had a cupcake and latte here a few weeks ago. The cupcake was dry and stale, and the latte was just bad. Their latte was so bitter that it was barely drinkable. I decided to give them a second chance, so I went to their Madrona shop, but the coffee was the same. There are plenty of good coffee shops in Seattle, but this is not one of them.

High ceilings, quality coffee and scores of cupcakes at this Ballard bakery and coffee house.. In Short
The interior of this trendy coffee shop has a bright paint job and lots of room, although the leather couches and large tables are often filled with laptop-toting 20-somethings taking advantage of the free wi-fi and frosting sugar rush from Cupcake Royale's baked offerings. The Caffe Umbria beans make for a perfect cuppa every time, while the light-as-air cupcakes make a nice complement, topped with a crown of frostings ranging from chocolate to lavender.

Coffee and cupcakes. These guys do a really nice shot of coffee, great crema and excellent flavor. Place has a nice friendly ambience, and the cupcakes are really great. They have different sizes and frostings and seem to be made and frosted right on the premises. Very convenient to the movie theater.
