Prefer their other pub in Ballard - Molly Maguires. After going to Molly's in Ballard, I was hoping for more from this place. Not a horrible pub, just not comparable to the typical Irish pub atmosphere you get from Molly's. Don't go there if you're hungry - unless it's the weekend and they're having their BBQ. (free food is always good) Not anything resembling a real menu. In general, it's not a happy, feel good bar. The owner is very friendly usually, but she's typically intoxicated....... I don't find it charming.
Inside Tip. If you love BBQ then come on sundays my dad barbeques for FREE!! best food around! Lovely to bring parents to.
Great bar, Great people, Great attitude. I love this place. It's either Saturday or Sunday mornings (or both), they have free food - really good food. Just some folks who come in and cook, lay it out on tables and let you dig in; soup, bread, meats... really amazing. And it's because there is a family-like atmosphere and attitude to the place. They have several taps with some great beers (they really seem to know their beers). They strive to make it a true "public house" where you feel welcome there and can relax; be yourself. It's one of my favorite places in Seattle. If you're looking for a loud sports bar or a single's meat market dance club: this is not your bar. Not too dark, not too loud, very friendly, inviting and comforting. A great place to hang with friends.
Best Pints on Greenwood.
If you look at the other reviews from the grumpy one, they are not favorable for anywhere, I agree with the last reviewer....find a place you like and stay there.
People have had their birthday and other parties there, and the owners and bartenders are always willing to help out. If you call ahead you can reserve the stage area and decorate etc... The OT has some of the nicest people. (nicer than other bars in the area) Girls can hang out there without worrying about being bugged. The bartenders and locals always look out for you. When there is propane, the back is a cozy dry place to smoke. Covered anyway, (rare for bars to have.) Cover is removed in the summer, Great place to get sun! 21 taps, some rotating, local brews as well as imports. Guinness is the best around, and the mixed drinks! Yummy!! great shots too. Creative ones. Open mic Wednesdays, Trivia Thursdays are the best! Big screen TV for the games too. (SUPERBOWL!!!!!) I hear there will be food!!!
The bad review was forwarded around to all us "odd" regulars. Rather be "odd" than sadly uptight...We love our OT. So there.
More 'real' food would be good, but there is a HUGE collection of menus from local joints to choose from and have delivered.
What is with the parking comment, has more parking than ANY bar on Greenwood. So, come be "seedy odd folks" with the rest of us!
Great little neighborhood bar!. Don't listen to moovoo, he's an idiot. Probably some highbrow snob looking for cheese and crackers to go along with his wine. The Ould Tri is a great little neighborhood bar serving fine working class folks with ages that run the gamut. Friendly peeps that you can converse with on any level. Sometimes it can get a bit busy (a sign of a well frequented establishment), but a cold brew (they know how to serve a Guiness that is actually imported from overseas), a well mixed cocktail, or even a nice glass of wine will be yours sonn enough. Pool and steel tip darts. Smoking lounge in the back. Live music. If you have the chance, The Raybone Expierence will not dissappoint. Great Irish music!
Great neighborhood bar and a true Irish establishment. The Ould Triangle is great neighborhood bar and a true Irish establishment (with many patrons from different countries). The crowd is diverse and has many friendly faces you see often. The bartenders and owners are very friendly. You can usually see live music on Friday, Saturday, and Monday nights and during (free) barbecue Sundays. All live shows are free. If you want to try your hand at performing on stage (singing, guitar, etc.), you have an opportunity every Wednesday night at open mike. And you can test your trivia knowledge on Thursday nights. I highly recommend you stop by the Ould Triangle if you happen to be in the neighborhood or need an excuse to go to Greenwood.
A Place You Could Easily Avoid.
A horrible dive bar. The service is terrible. This place is on its third or so owner. Parking is limited and the patrons are odd folk, crawling out of the woodwork in a seedy sort of fashion.
Avoid this place and head further down to Phinney.
