tux not available and was charged anyway

What a nightmare. Ordered Tux and confirmed twice. The day we picked it up it was missing and the guy was so flustered that he didn't know what to do. We ended up taking a tux off the window display and paying full price. We decided to deal with it on our return.
On our return the manager was very apologetic and was authorized to return $22. So we ended up paying 57 for a jacket in the wrong size, not pressed or hemmed and a pair of shoes for a weekend. If it were my store my reputation would be worth more than $22.
I know errors can happen but customer service is really how you end up handling errors.
